When Tyler wakes up each morning, he always calls out for
one of us. This morning, however, he
came downstairs by himself and said, “I can’t wait to go trick or
treating!” Then he gave me a hug and
said, “Happy Halloween!” J Although he picked out his ninja costume
weeks ago, and wore it to his preschool Halloween party, he decided at the last
minute that he wanted to go trick or treating as a fireman. Before we left, we got to visit with my
brother, Steven, who was dressed as Silent Bob.
J It was great to see him!
Tyler did a great job trick or treating this year. At almost every house he walked up to the
door, he patiently waited after knocking, then said, “Trick or treat!” Once he was given a piece of candy he’d say,
“Thank you! Happy Halloween!” He kept telling us over and over again, “I
love Halloween!” J He really wanted to go trick or treating at
his pediatrician’s house, which we do each year. We also walked to a different part of our
neighborhood to see a really spooky house that Dan and Tyler had seen while on
a walk. After that, Tyler said, “I’m
ready to go home now.” He stayed out longer than last year and seemed very
happy with his candy. J
My favorite Halloween pictures of Tyler…as we walked around the neighborhood last night, I kept thinking that next year I'll be carrying a baby in my arms! J
