Family Party

 

This week we went to a family party at my parents' house!  It was so nice to be able to see so many relatives and Tyler always has so much fun playing with his cousins.  :-)  My parents are always wonderful hosts and we celebrated my aunt and uncle's wedding anniversary.  :-)  My uncle Michael gave me a wonderful gift - a video from my grandma's 70th birthday party!  I absolutely loved seeing her and her beautiful smile again, and hearing her voice and laugh.  :-) 

 

Tyler enjoyed a pool date with his friends Dylan and Reed, and a playdate with his friends, Noah and Baby Alex.  I took Tyler to the library to see a movie but unfortunately he did not like it (he kept asking why one of the characters was so mean) and we left after 20 minutes.  We read one book and spent the rest of our time (an hour and a half!) playing with the lego table and the train table.  There is even a climbing section and I watched as Tyler leaped in the air...at. the. library.  :-)

 

Tyler enjoyed spending time with his Mummi, Gaga, and Papaw this week.  I got to do a very special photo shoot for a couple who will be making a big announcement soon (which means I can't share their photos yet!).  Dan and I took Tyler to a park we hadn't been to in a long time and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was there!  Tyler said, "I want to get nice air that's outside!"  He is so funny. 

The Farm

 

Tyler has been waking up every morning and saying, "What are we going to do today?"  Since it was supposed to be very hot, I thought we would go to a park we like that has tons of shade.  But Tyler really wanted to go to "the farm".  He had a great time and when we got back home he had the cutest conversation with his "Gog".  He said, "I'm so happy to see you.  I was missing you.  I wish we had brought you but there was dirt there and you would have gotten messy."  :-)

"Maybe We Should Go to the Park?"

 

This week, Tyler went to the park seven times!!  One day he and I tried out a fenced in park we'd never been to and then later in the day, Dan and I took him to the school playground.  (He kept yelling, "Police!  Do not go up the slide!  Emergency!".)  He went back to the school playground later in the week, once with his Mummi and once with Dan.  We also went to the "park with the fire truck" where he met a new friend.  We met up with my friend Julie at a big park with tons of trees.  Another day, we met up with my friend Crystal and her three boys at a park we hadn't been to since Tyler was a year old!  It was definitely a park week.

 

Tyler also had a playdate with his friends Reed, Dylan, and Baby Lily.  He had a playdate with his friends Zachary, Baby Austin, Noah, and Baby Alex.  We met up with many friends at an indoor playground and we also played and had dinner with my friends Barbara and Leigh.  Tyler enjoyed having a dance party to "Let it Go" with Leigh's children.  Tyler enjoyed spending time with my parents while Dan and I went out to lunch, which was so nice!!  :-)   

Five Year Anniversary :-)

 

Our anniversary was on a Friday this year, which was lovely.  We got yummy takeout, Tyler fell asleep on the way home, and we watched the video all about us that my friend Vanessa made for our rehearsal dinner.  I love watching the video every year on our anniversary.  :-)  The next night we went to The Melting Pot while Tyler enjoyed time with his Mummi.  We can't believe we've been married for five years and together for almost nine!!  :-)

Photography Conference

 

This week Tyler got to see his grandparents, which always makes him very happy!  He and I spent two days and two nights with my parents so that I could attend a photography conference.  I got to see some of my favorite photographers, including Amanda Hedgepeth, whose mentoring group I am lucky enough to be in, and THE Katelyn James.  I was excited to meet Katelyn's husband and dog, too.  :-)  It felt amazing to be in a room with so many people who have a passion for photography.  I can still hardly believe I was there!

 

Tyler and I also took a day trip to visit my friend Vanessa.  We enjoyed catching up with her and seeing her new house and doing a little bit of shopping too.  Tyler also took a trip to the park and a trip to a place for kids that has slides and different rooms where he can dress up.  We also met up with a bunch of friends and their kids for an outdoor concert.  Tyler enjoyed riding the choo choo train and getting to see real ducks.  :-)



Summer Nights

 

This week Tyler had a park playdate with his friends, Elyse and Lyla.  He also spent time with my parents while Dan and I enjoyed a lunch date.  Unfortunately, he had a fever and had to go to the doctor with me after I had an allergic reaction to a bite.  While we enjoy taking walks and watching the sunset, we don't love the bugs!  Tyler decided he wanted to work on his motorcycle this week "in the shop".  Adorable!  I also got to photograph an adorable 4 week old baby and his family.  :-)
