Vacation, Part 2

Tyler really wanted to go on the pirate cruise again this year.  Luckily, my friend Chrissy, her husband Dennis, and her son Brayden were on vacation at the same time as us.  Tyler loved being able to go on the pirate cruise with Brayden!  Chrissy, Brady, and I enjoyed sitting in rocking chairs eating ice cream while the boys were gone.  :-)  After the cruise we went to a huge park that has a tree house.

Tyler is definitely a beach boy and loved building sand castles with Dan. :-)  Brady only smiled once at the beach but he seemed happier at the pool!

Vacation, Part 1

I had no idea how we were going to make this vacation work!  In fact, I stressed for weeks about how Brady would do in the car and how we would possibly pack everything we needed in our car.  I remember last year when we headed to the beach, I said to Dan, "Can you imagine how we will fit a baby and all of the baby stuff in the car for vacation next year?"  Somehow Dan managed to fit everything in the car (barely).  :-)

We always break up the trip going down, and stay in a hotel.  That makes day two so much better, but day one is typically very long.  I always tell people it's a 12 hour drive.  For us, it took 14.5 hours (!!!) over two days.  Day two was much better than day one.  :-)  We finally realized we had to move things around in the car so that I could sit between the two car seats.  Even still, we have a video of Brady and Tyler both wailing at once!

Tyler loves the beach and loves going to the children's museum.  He especially loves picking out "prizes" with the vacation money my parents gave him.  Brady had the funniest expression on his face when we were at the beach.  It was like he was thinking, "Where on earth have you people taken me now?"  :-)

Father's Day

We love Dan so much and are so lucky to have him!  He spent Father's Day this year driving us to the beach.  :-)   Once we arrived we got takeout from his favorite seafood restaurant and he was happy to watch game 7 of the NBA finals. 

I missed seeing my dad on Father's Day this year but we were happy to get to see him a few days before we left for our trip!
