Celebrating

 

I turned 43 this past Monday!  I had a great time celebrating with my parents (and Brady and Tyler!) the Wednesday before my birthday!  Tyler requested no pictures, but he does owe me one for my birthday gift!  Then I got to celebrate again on my actual birthday, with Dan and our boys (and cake of course!)

One gift I really love from my parents is a framed piece of artwork that Brady painted at their house!  I love rainbows!  I also love the new pillows they got me from Target and I can't wait to read the new Kate White book!

I love Brady's mom themed artwork from school, Tyler's post for me that he put on his social media stories (he keeps a page to share his mountain biking videos!), and the card from my boys!  SO sweet!

Brady did a great job making a sign for my mom to give her during our visit.  I also love that we gave her a framed picture of her grandcat, Skye!

After my parents headed home, Brady (all on his own!) wrote out a special note that he brought to me.  Then he said, "I love Mama's birthday!"  It was SO sweet!

Of course after answering this question and saying the correct answer, he realized it's much funnier to give an incorrect answer.  So ever since I took this video, if I ask him how old I am, he says, "44!" with a mischievous smile on his face.

Adventures With My Boys

 

This past week was full of adventures with my two boys!  While Dan was traveling to visit family, Tyler had me driving through the city (for the first time ever!) to a mountain biking location he enjoys.  Thankfully there was a playground (and an ice cream truck!) to help keep Brady entertained, because we were there for over two hours.  Then a few days later, he had Brady and I trekking through the woods at a location near to our neighborhood, for more mountain biking fun.  This time, there were tires for Brady to climb on to keep him entertained.  And then on Thursday, I attended a first grade field trip with Brady!  We went to a science museum and saw an IMAX movie about butterflies.  Then we went to a playground to have lunch.  He loved swinging on the monkey bars & he enjoyed all three rides on the bus!

Brady had never seen a movie in the theater before, but he did great!

Tyler is definitely very skilled at mountain biking!

Mother's Day

 

It's been a great Mother's Day!  Brady worked on a new lego kit for an hour and a half this morning, then clearly said, "Happy Mother's Day!"  He also brought me an adorable card from him, Tyler, & Dan.  :-)  We went to Starbucks and then Dan picked up Mexican food for us to all have together.  While Dan took Tyler to his Sunday basketball league (with some mountain biking before and after!) Brady and I took a much needed nap!  I've spent time catching up on photos, which I definitely needed to do!

Mother's Day always makes me think of my favorite "mom" photos, which includes all of these!

I am blessed to have such a wonderful mom!  I love this photo of us from my sprinkle when I was very pregnant with Brady...

Dan is lucky to have a wonderful mother too!  I love these photos of them together...

I can't get over how baby faced Dan was when we had Tyler...

He was able to celebrate Mother's Day with his mom and sister (and our nephew Liam!) last weekend...
