Christmas, Part 1

Brady was very patient on Christmas morning, while waiting for our big boys to wake up.  (He did say, "Daddy and Tyler wake up?" about 100 times.)  The night before Christmas, I moved all of the gifts to Dan's office & I panicked when I saw Brady's pile of gifts, because I thought there'd be more.  (Of course I wasn't realizing that I hadn't brought down a bin that had three gifts for Brady and one for Tyler.  Oops!)  I knew I had one more gift I could wrap for him.   But it wasn't until after the boys opened their gifts that I realized I was missing one for Tyler, which led me to find three more for Brady.  Thankfully, one of the first gifts Tyler opened was a sweatshirt, since he came downstairs shirtless!

This was the gift I realized was missing...

Brady drew this reindeer and Christmas tree all on his own, and I love them so much...

Skye was SO cute sitting in his little chair next to Brady on Christmas morning...

Mummi's House

The day before Brady's birthday, we traveled to Reston to celebrate Christmas with Dan's mom, his sister, Caroline, our brother-in-law, Brian, and our nephew, Liam.  The boys had a great time opening their gifts!  We sang, "Happy Birthday" to Brady and for the first time ever, we let him blow out his candles!  He did a great job!

Celebrating Brady's 9th Birthday!

Brady had a very happy 9th birthday!  The cyber truck toy he opened was definitely his favorite gift!  I asked him what he wanted for lunch and he said, "Go to Starbucks and get chippies and McDonalds?"  Whenever he says he wants to "get chippies" it means he wants to go to the Panera drive thru to get a bag of chips.  (He of course wanted, "cake and water" at Starbucks and a happy meal from McDonalds!)  After playing at home, we all went to Taylor Farm.  Because it was very cold, we were one of only a few people there.  This meant that Brady got to do the zip line over and over again, without having to wait in a line.  He definitely loved that, and he loved having Dan and Tyler push him on the zip line!  He was the sweetest little birthday boy, and we can't believe he is nine!

My attempts to get a picture with the birthday boy were comical...

We were all cracking up towards the end of singing, "Happy Birthday" to Brady, because he got the funniest expression on his face (though we weren't sure why!)...

He had so much fun at Taylor Farm...
