5 Years!

We can't believe we moved into our house five years ago today!!!

We also can't believe how small the boys were when we moved in.  Tyler was nine years old...the same age Brady is now!

Brady and I recently took a day trip to see my parents, and we brought Skye with us!  Brady had lots of fun playing in their backyard and getting some uninterrupted time with his Gag and Pap!  I got to go to Shapes salon to have my friend, Jackie, cut my hair.  (I hadn't seen her in a year!)  After that, I met up with my friend, Tara, at Starbucks, for a coffee date.  Tara and I started going to Starbucks for coffee dates back in 2004, and it was great to catch up with her.  We hadn't seen each other in two years!

My hair is shorter than it has been in six years.  I decided to cut it myself (which is never a good idea!) because it was so uneven & driving me crazy, but then Jackie had to fix it for me.  I will definitely let it grow out over the next few months, but at least it's now (mostly) one length!

We were also able to see my brother, Steven, and celebrate this July birthday.  For months, Brady has been talking about wanting to celebrate Steven's birthday (by singing to him and having cake), so I'm so glad we were able to make it happen...

We’ve continued daily walks, trips to various parks, and speech, summer camp, and gymnastics for Brady.  He also loves going to the library and riding the elevator.  The last time we went to Poor Farm Park, we saw that the playground had been completely torn down.  Brady thought it was hysterical!  Thankfully, a brand new playground is going to be built soon.

More July Photos

 

We continue to go to Taylor Farm Park on a weekly basis!  Dan and I took Brady to Kings Dominion one Sunday, while Tyler opted to sleep in and relax.  We took a trip to the pool one day and Brady loves biking in our neighborhood in the late afternoon.  He still enjoys daily morning walks as well, but after a storm, a huge tree fell & blocked our path for a few days.  Thankfully, it was eventually cleared. My parents are celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary today, and my brother, Steven, is turning 42 next week!  We love them so!

I love this photo of Brady with our neighbor's cat, Oliver, who I mistakenly called George.  In fact, every time I ask Brady to list Miss Allison's cats, he says, "Charley, Socksy, Hal, and George."
