It is crazy how life turns out sometimes. The photos that popped up on my phone on July 21st made me realize that two years ago, we had the final walk through & settlement on our house. What is really crazy, though, is that four years ago on the 21st, we were staying in a hotel in the town where we now live. If someone had told me four years ago that in two years I would be moving there, I would have laughed. I have zero memories of our town from that visit! We were visiting family & friends in the area & I did my cousin's engagement shoot in downtown Richmond. Yet here we are now!
This photo was taken two days after settlement, on 7/23/20, when Brady got to go into our new house for the first time.
Two years later...
My parents celebrated 46 years of marriage on July 17th! This is one of my favorite photos of them with Tyler & Brady!
My brother, Steven, turned 39 on July 22nd! This is one of my favorite photos of us together!
I didn't realize, until my aunt Barbara posted on Instagram, that July 18th marked 10 years since we lost my Grannie. I thought to myself, "How is it possible that she hasn't been here for 10 years?" Then I realized that I think about her every day. I can hear her singing voice in my head. I can imagine the walk down to her apartment and can picture the door opening and seeing her smiling face. Every rainbow and butterfly reminds me of her. I love to talk to my boys about their great grandma Quick. She will always be a big part of my life, and for that, I am so grateful.
