Brady has just been amazing us lately with his speech! I can barely keep up with all of the new words he says (so clearly too!) Most exciting of all, he has been using words in order to communicate, not only what he sees, but what he wants! When we were in Target the other day & he saw beach balls for sale, he said, "Ball!" He was very upset one day while on his bicycle (while in the house because it's really hot out!) and kept saying, "puzzle!" I wasn't sure what he meant and he was getting very frustrated, but eventually he started putting his puzzles away & saying, "Night night puzzles," (which is something I say when it's time to clean the floor!) He needed the puzzles out of his way to have a clear path for his bike! He was upset another day when I was gone for a few hours (celebrating my friend Vanessa's birthday!) I could tell he wanted to go in the car, so we started driving. When we drove past the 95 north exit, he yelled, "Gaga Papaw!" I think he thought I had gone to visit my parents without him, which I wouldn't do! I also think he got confused because it was a Saturday after gymnastics, & the previous Saturday we had gone straight from gymnastics to my parents' house. I told him we'd be going to their house again soon!
He will say, "mint" (he loves mint yasso bars!), "apple", & he thinks it's SO funny to request "pizza" daily! He even says pizza at school, along with "monkey bars". He is all about stickers right now and he loves having all of his books & puzzles spread out all over the kitchen. He loves to say "cheese" (he absolutely loves cheese sticks!) & despite not catching this on video yet, he now says, "B-R-A-D-Y" which is SO exciting! He said "balloon" very clearly the other day & says "apple" when he sees one. He requested Dan's frozen meal (because he loves the meatballs!) & is constantly saying, "bus". We aren't sure what he means! He loves saying, "turkey", eating turkey, and feeding way too much turkey to Skye! He says "ouchie" now when he has one & one day he said, "more cheese!" while standing at the top of the stairs (to let me know why he was headed back down). He will say, "upstairs" & "downstairs". He was very upset with me the other day because we were watching Olympic gymnastics, but he didn't seem too interested, so I put on the movie Sing, which he used to love. Once he noticed, he let me know he was not happy, and he said, "nastics!!!" so I turned the gymnastics back on. :-) Hearing him say, "sar-gee Mama" for "sorry" is one of my favorites, though I wish he'd stop turning on the fire place and the dishwasher! He has always loved to copy Dan by putting his shoe up and pretending to tie laces! He also likes to copy him when he is working out & he loves using his pull up bar! He loves watering the grass out front & tries to kick his ball onto the roof above our garage!
He absolutely loves it when we have to stop in our car because of the train, but if the train passes by when we are at the pool, he thinks it is too loud & will cover his ears. We can hear the train from our house, but it isn't loud at all. If Dan and I both take him to the playground & ask, "Mama push or Dada push?" (when he gets on the swing!) he always says, "Dada push!" He says, "broken" when any of his sticker books are ripped, or if his trash can toys are missing wheels. We just love hearing his sweet, little (deep!) voice, & hearing him say, "dinosaur" is SO cute! He is doing such a great job balancing ABA, he just finished up a month of summer school, & he continues to do a great job in his gymnastics class. We are so proud of him!
