March Fun

This month, Dan and I took Tyler to a basketball event at the high school in our neighborhood.  We saw a lot of Tyler's friends there, as well as friends of mine I used to teach with!  We had a great time, and Brady had lots of fun with my parents while we were gone.  Tyler also got to attend his friend Sam's 7th birthday party.  Dan and Brady were able to come to the second half of the party, too!  (Brady slept in the car during the first half!)  Tyler and Brady had a playdate with their friends, Noah & Alex, and over spring break, we met up with my friend Tara & her twin girls at an indoor playground.  I also got to have lunch with my friend, Julie!

Tyler was so happy to have spring break this month!  He was off for 10 days straight, and Dan was off for five of those days.  :-)  We visited Dan at work and had lunch with him one day, and we visited my parents as well.  Dan's mom was able to come over one day too!  Tyler's school assignment during spring break was to bring his Flat Stanley character to different places and then write about their adventures.  I think Tyler had a happy spring break!

Brady has been busy with his speech lessons and he likes his teacher, Miss Dianne.  It's so nice that she is able to come to our house for the lessons each week!  Brady has only slept (partially) through two of his lessons so far.  ;-)  We've loved hearing him be more vocal lately!  He is still enjoying his baby gym classes.  I was sick one day and couldn't take him, so Dan took him instead.  When they got back, Dan said, "He doesn't really like to do what the rest of the group is doing.  He likes the balance beam."  Brady's favorite parts of class are definitely exploration time, basketball, and the last two activities of each class - playing with balls then bubbles!  I think Thursday is his favorite day of the week, because he gets to watch both the trash truck and the recycle truck.  :-)

Tyler still loves playing basketball any chance he gets - right after school, with Dan on the weekends, or playing with his grandparents!  He's excited for his spring basketball league, and he can't wait for warmer weather every day.  We had a few warm days this month, and one last snow!  Brady did not like wearing snow pants one bit, but was much happier once we let him take them off!  :-)
