October

October always seems to be the busiest month of the year!  I've said over and over again to Dan, that I don't know how I possibly did photo shoots last October!  This year I only did one photo shoot, and I got to travel!  I spent a few hours with my friend Vanessa and her new family of four!  Every weekend has been packed.  In fact, one Saturday I attended three parties.  Tyler has been loving the nonstop action, and Brady has been a trooper, sometimes having to sleep in the car on Saturdays.  Tyler had a soccer game every weekend, which we always found very entertaining!  He had such a great team this year.  We knew all of the players' names, his coach was so nice, and all of the parents were so fun to talk to each week.  We got to see each other three times a week, so we really got to know each other!

As always, the boys loved spending time with their grandparents this month!  They also had a park playdate with their friends, Zachary, Austin, and Baby Veronica.  Tyler had his friend Sam over for a playdate, and we spent lots of time at different parks in our neighborhood.  We also attended a lot of birthday parties!  We went to Baby Cameron's 1st birthday party, our favorite dog Lucky's 1st birthday party, and for the first time ever, Dan and I spent five hours away from the boys.  They had a great time with my parents, and we got to attend our friend Lomy's 40th birthday dinner.  :-)  Tyler and I also attended his soccer party at a restaurant!  Tyler has been busy with first grade, he's learned to ride a scooter, and he's recently decided that he likes playing and watching basketball with Dan.

Sometimes during Tyler's soccer games, Brady would be sleeping in the car, so Dan and I would take turns watching the game.  At one game, I watched the first half, and my friend Jess was there watching her son Luke play against Tyler's team.  (Ironically, Jess and I met in our Great Beginnings class as teachers back in 2002, then lost touch.  We didn't see each other again until 2016, when our sons were in the same kindergarten class!)  Jess gave me a gatorade for Tyler to have after the game.  I guess Tyler noticed it in our cup holder, because when Dan and I switched places, Tyler yelled, "Dad, don't drink that gatorade!"  Unfortunately, as Tyler was yelling at Dan, the other team scored a goal!  Tyler's team ended the season with six ties and/or wins.  :-)
