June Fun

June was a very busy month!  In addition to Tyler finishing up kindergarten, and going to the beach, the boys got to see a lot of their friends!  Brady had playdates with his baby friends, Crosby and Cameron.  Tyler attended his friend Caleb's birthday party, and had one last playdate with his friend, Haley, before she moved out of state.  He misses her a lot!  We spent a lot of time at the playground and at the pool.  We visited Tyler's friend Sam and his family, including his new baby sister!  We brought my niece Julia her birthday gift and were so glad to get to see her on her recital day!  Tyler had so much fun playing with her at his favorite indoor playground, thanks to my parents, who brought them there!  We went to our neighborhood carnival, and Tyler had so much run riding the roller coaster and ferris wheel with Dan.  :-)  We went to a playdate at Zachary's house, and Tyler had one day of space camp!  Most exciting of all, Tyler started private swim lessons and after the first week, he was swimming under water and no longer wearing a vest.  We are so excited for him and so proud of him!  :-)

We've been adjusting to Tyler being home during Brady's nap.  It's working out well now, but the first week was tough!  Tyler tried to help me get Brady to sleep by sitting in his room and reading him the book, Just Go to Bed.  :-)  So cute!

Beach Comparison Photos

Tyler during his big brother photo shoot when I was pregnant with Brady!  :-)

Tyler when he was five months old!

We decided to recreate one of my favorite photos of Tyler from the sand dunes!
(When he was 17 months old!)

Brady loved staring at the sand two years in a row!

Thankfully, the car trips went much better this year compared to last year!

Vacation, Part 5

Our last two days at the beach were very windy, and Brady realized that instead of feeling sand on his face by the ocean, he preferred to walk the long path from the beach to the road.  (When Tyler was Brady's age, he discovered the path on day two, so we were thankful that Brady didn't notice the fun path until day five!)  Dan and I kept taking turns walking with Brady, while one of us stayed on the beach to build sand castles with Tyler.  Brady also discovered the buttons that controlled the air conditioning unit during our last two days of vacation, so when it was time to head home, we were ready.  :-)  We are so, so glad that Brady never figured out how to climb onto the beds in our hotel room!  He's been quite the climber since we've been back home.

I did a five minute beach photo shoot with the boys (I love this picture taken of Tyler on our hotel balcony before we went to the beach!)  As I was taking pictures of Dan with our boys, the sweetest family walked by and offered to take a picture of the four of us.  I was so happy because I definitely didn't think we'd have a photo from this trip of the four of us together!  :-)

The boys had lots of fun stopping at Chickfila on the way home. :-)
