Our New Kitten!

We have a new kitten!  We think she is a girl, but we'll find out for sure on Wednesday at her vet appointment.  I told Dan that our kitten is his 20th anniversary gift!  I first saw her on our anniversary (last Wednesday).  I was at the playground with Brady when my friend Stephanie noticed a kitten had popped through the gates.  There were four of us who were trying to find her.  She ran across the street and was hiding in the bushes.  We were so sad we couldn't find her, and we spent as much time as we could on Thursday trying to find her. On Friday, I left some cat treats by the trees where we thought she lived (people in our neighborhood group said they had spotted her on Halloween).  When Brady and I went to the playground that afternoon, the treats were gone, which gave me hope that we'd see her again.  My friend Stephanie arrived with her daughter, and we were talking about the cat and how we hoped to see it again.  Brady and I left and then Stephanie texted me, "I see the cat!" so Brady and I raced back with treats.  Stephanie was able to get the cat and bring her to her house, then I brought Skye's cat carrier, and we took her home.  Dan and Skye weren't crazy about her at first, but they are both warming up to her.  She's such a little angel and I am SO relieved that she isn't out in the cold anymore.
