This past Monday, we knew snow was on the forecast. I correctly predicted that the boys would be out of school on both Tuesday and Wednesday, then have a delay on Thursday. When I first told Brady that snow was coming, he said, "No snow! Just grass!" But then (of course!) he became excited about having a day off from school! He was a bit confused when he woke up in the morning, because there wasn't any snow, but it was so relaxing to ease into the morning & wait for the snow to arrive! I love sitting inside and watching snow fall! It's so peaceful and beautiful. Once there was a good amount of snow on the ground, Brady was ready to go out and play! Eventually we started working on clearing our car and sidewalks, and Brady was the best helper!
The next day, everything was covered with ice. The snowplow had come by, thankfully, but we had a lot of work to do to clear the new snow and ice off the car, and to clear one side of the driveway. Again, Brady was my best helper! Dan had a dentist appointment, then after that, the boys and I dropped Dan off at the library (since our wifi was down). Brady and I dropped Tyler off with a friend so they could go sledding, then we went to Target! We picked Tyler up, picked Dan up, then once we got home, Brady was ready to go outside to play yet again!
Brady cracked me up at one point when I said, "Do you miss school Brady?" and he said, "Yes." I was surprised by his answer, so I said, "Are you sad you aren't at school right now?" and he said, "No!" (rather forcefully!) Then he said, "Miss school on Tuesday," and I realized why he had been confused by my question. He is so precious!
These photos of Brady are so funny...
My snow photos with Brady made me think of a picture I took with Tyler many years ago...
These were photos from our last snowfall that I forgot to post on the blog...
