We had a jam packed Fourth of July weekend! In fact, I don't think we've ever fit so many activities in one weekend, & we were thankful to have a day off to recover! On Saturday, I drove about 45 minutes away for a family photo shoot! Once I got home & loaded the photos to my laptop, Brady & I were off to gymnastics. Later that afternoon, Dan's mom, sister, brother-in-law, & nephew arrived! The cousins played on the dome, threw water balloons, & went on a walk (or ride!) on the trail. Then we all had dinner together! It was so fun!
The next day, Kaija, Caroline, Brian, & Liam were able to come back to our house, after staying in a hotel in downtown Richmond & exploring the city a bit. The cousins played in the backyard, played hide & seek, & we all had lunch together (& Fourth of July cupcakes!) After our family members headed home, I made oreo balls (for the first time in years!) for us to take to a neighborhood party. We ended up staying at the party for about four hours! The boys had so much fun on the moon bounce/water toy, & the fireworks show was amazing. I had no idea that our neighbors were going to have such incredible fireworks! I was expecting fountain type fireworks that stay on the ground! The boys loved watching them! :-)
It's very rare that Brady will nap at home...typically he naps between five minutes and an hour, only in the car!
