We are wishing my mom a very happy birthday today! We can't wait to celebrate!
I recently realized that when I was a brand new teacher many years ago, and my mom helped me set up my classroom...she was only 48 years old!
I remember my senior year of college, I drove up to our house with my
friends, Vanessa, Laura, and Gabriel. My dad had gotten us tickets to
the Redskins vs. Dallas game, and my mom was standing outside our
house. All at once, my friends said, "Sara, that's not your mom,
right?" When I said yes, they couldn't believe it. "She's so young!"
they said. :-) She still is! And beautiful, kind, and giving. We are so
lucky! :-)
