December

Well, our busy week did not go as planned! Due to more sickness, we
missed a lot of our planned parties (poor Tyler missed four!) Thankfully,
before we all got sick, Dan and Tyler got to enjoy a kids event at Barnes
& Noble (while Brady played at my parents` house!) I took Tyler to a
birthday party for his friend Luke at a bounce place. Tyler`s teacher
had to miss the last week of school before winter break (and Tyler`s
holiday party was postponed) because she had mono. Tyler did enjoy
a holiday sing along on his last day of school in 2017, and he dressed
in red, white, and green (Brady wore a matching outfit!) Thankfully, I
was able to have my friends, Angie and Michelle, over to visit, and
we had our neighbors, Jolie and Dan, over for dinner one night.

Over the weekend, Tyler planned to go to a birthday party for his friend,
Grant, and we had a holiday party to attend with a bunch of the boys'
friends. Most importantly, we were going to have Brady`s second birthday
party at our house. Unfortunately, Tyler came down with the flu after
school on Friday. It was a miserable night but thankfully the next morning he
felt much better. Saturday was a nice, quiet day at home just relaxing. (Since
poor Brady was missing his party, we still gave him his cake and his biggest
birthday gift.) But then on Sunday morning, the flu hit Brady, and by Sunday
night, Dan was sick. I really hoped that I wouldn`t get it too, but by Tuesday
I was sick as well. Thankfully my parents were able to take Tyler to their
house one day (and to Target to do some holiday shopping!) and another day they
took him to the playground. Then they took Brady to their house overnight.
It was the first time I`ve ever spent a night away from Brady, but I knew I
didn`t have the energy to take care of him. He had a great time with my
parents, and Tyler enjoyed playing outside with Dan and watching Boss Baby.

We are all hoping to be healthy for Brady`s birthday on Friday! He is so cute
pointing at his favorite ornaments on our Christmas tree...

Brady has been enjoying his early birthday gifts - a dog he can walk from Dan, Tyler, and I, and a ball toy from my parents!  He quickly realized how fun it would be to pull the ball shaped ornaments off the Christmas tree and put them in his toy.  Unfortunately, some of our lights stopped working so we took them off and added colorful lights - Tyler is so happy!
