September has been a lot of fun! We are so glad that Tyler is enjoying kindergarten! So far he's had a few spirits days, stuffed animal day, red, white, and blue day, crazy hair and sock day, and a special run that Brady and I were able to attend. (Brady slept through the entire thing, despite the loud music.) :-)
I was telling Dan it seems like every day is a
special day, either at Tyler's school or at Dan's work. Dan's company
seems to have a baby shower or some sort of tournament (basketball, corn hole,
even ping pong!) happening each week. Not to mention visits from the food
truck or ice cream truck (Tyler is very jealous) and they are beginning to plan
this year's Halloween costumes. :-) Dan was happy to win the first
football pool (of course) :-)
Tyler is also enjoying soccer! We love
attending the practice each week and the game as well. Kindergarten
soccer is very entertaining!! We were happy to get to go to Brayden's 8th
birthday party this past week as well.
Tyler has been on a roll lately with his funny
quotes...
"I hope Brady isn't
allergic to pancakes...that would be so sad."
(He said this after we
watched a special Daniel Tiger episode about allergies.)
·
"Wow,
can you believe if you had that much kids?"
(He said this when four
students from his school ran past us on our walk home.) :-)
·
“I
wonder how dad is so brave to sleep all by himself in the dark.”
(He said this one Saturday
or Sunday morning after we were all up early. I was heading downstairs
with the boys and Dan went back to sleep!)
Me: "Tyler, if
you throw your tablet it's going to break and you won't be able to use it
anymore."
Tyler: "Don't
say that! That's gonna make my heart sad!"
(This has been Tyler's new
favorite quote. Apparently, his teacher says this at school.) :-)
"Oh no! It ran
out of batteries just as I was doing something special!"
(Talking about his tablet,
of course) :-)
We haven't been letting
Tyler use his tablet as much as he would like to, so today he said to me,
"The tablet is more important than nursing Brady, doing his nails, and him
sleeping. And that's it." :-)
My favorite quote was when
poor Brady was crying while waiting for me to pick him up and Tyler said,
"It's okay Brady...Mommy's coming in just a minute!" :-)
Our funny boy is very
excited that he is now five and a half years old!! :-)
