Brady is SEVEN!

We can't believe Brady is SEVEN!!!  We have loved watching him grow & learn over these seven years & we couldn't love our little "Bay Bay" (and sometimes "Cray Cray") more!

We got to celebrate Brady's birthday with my parents yesterday and I LOVE this video of Brady singing, "You Are My Sunshine!"  In one of my all time favorite videos of Brady as a baby, I am singing this song to him.  I love singing with him now, but am also amazed that he can sing the song all by himself!  He has the cutest, sweetest, little voice, even when he has a cold!  We are just amazed by the progress he has made over the past two years!

I can't wait to share photos from Brady's seventh birthday party!  He got to celebrate his birthday with classmates from school for the first time, and he loved all of the presents he received.  The morning after his party, I took this video, & couldn't believe how cute my "morning view" was.  I remember soon after Brady was born, I took the most adorable video of my "morning view" - Tyler was four and waving to the camera & newborn Brady was sitting peacefully in his rock 'n play!  My view has certainly changed over these past seven years (now Tyler sleeps in!) but I love it just the same.  We can't wait to celebrate our seven year old all day long.  (Of course our little jokester will tell you that he's eight!)

Even though I don't have a video to share, I will never forget that on the morning of Brady's 7th birthday, he said, "I love you Mama," (unprompted!) for the first time ever!  I was saying, "I love you, Brady" and normally he would say, "I love you Brady," back or only say, "I love you Mama," if I said it & he repeated the words.  But he said it all on his own, clear as day!  It was one of the sweetest moments of my life and one that I'll never forget!

I took this video a little while later so I could remember what his little voice sounded like saying, "I love Mama."  :-)  I also love that he then said, "Ipad!"

Our Little Reader, Writer, & Artist

 

Brady loves to spend his free time reading books, writing words, & drawing pictures.  There are you tube videos he likes to watch that teach him how to draw different vehicles step by step.  He is very talented!  Hearing his sweet, little voice reading various words is SO exciting!

Brady can say my phone number, that he lives in Virginia, and the name of our street.  He is also saying different emotions, like happy or sad.  He can say the days of the week and the months of the year.  We love to say, "Hip Hip Hooray!" especially on Wednesdays when my parents are in town.  He calls amazon, "manazon" and loves to be a little jokester.  (For example, he'll be reading something he's written, like, "I love my Gaga and my Papaw" but will change the words to, "I love my mama and my dada," just to be funny!)  He loves eating meatballs & when he's eaten them all, he'll say, "meatball all gone in the belly!"  If we ask him what he likes to buy at Target, he'll say, "minty, meatball, cheese, muffins, legos!"  :-)

My niece Julia recently had a gymnastics meet (she is such a talented gymnast!!) & Brady and I wanted to send her a little gift & a special note.  I can't get over how good his handwriting is!  He loves his cousins!

My parents got him two etch a sketch boards, and he will either say, "Mama/Dada, draw a picture!" that he likes to then copy on his board, or he likes for us to write words & phrases that he copies...

His writings about Christmas are especially adorable!

I love when he says, "Mama, read a book," & loved seeing him reading with my dad...
