August Fun

 

This month has been very hot!  Recently the weather has been cooler, and I am so happy!  We can't believe in less than four weeks, the boys will be back in school.

13 Years!

 

Earlier this week, Dan and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary!  It was a bit of a crazy day, but also a good one!  Tyler got to go to Kings Dominion with his friend, Cannon (and Cannon's mom & brother!)  Brady got to spend lots of time with my parents while I got my hair highlighted for the first time in 14 or 15 years!  Dan was working all day & Brady had an ABA session at our house, so there was a lot going on!  There was also a situation involving police that was going on near the Starbucks Brady and I went to in the morning, which added to the craziness of the day!  

A few days before our anniversary, Brady stayed with my parents so Dan, Tyler, & I could go out to lunch.  We let Tyler choose a restaurant, and he chose Red Robin!  On our actual anniversary, it was a very hot day & we spent the evening watching our boys ride bikes (& Tyler even did some stunts!)  Overall, it was a fun anniversary!

This month Tyler got his hair cut!  It was his first professional cut in over a year and it looks great!  It seems like every day this month has been either really hot or rainy, so we've had to entertain ourselves inside a lot.  But on the days when we've managed to get out, we've gone on walks, the boys have gone skateboarding, and they have both helped with yard work.  Brady still loves packing the car, helping with the trash, loading the dishwasher, and putting the silverware away.  He even packed his own lunch one day and put it in his backpack - complete with a cold pack!  He does not like it when I am on my laptop.  He will say, "All done! Turn off!"  He also does not like to be in the car if it is not moving, and he will say, "Drive!"

At the beginning of the school year, there was a baby horse we got to see almost every day on the way to Brady's school.  By the end of the year, it was hard to tell the mama horse and the baby horse apart.  The baby had grown so much!  But then, one day there was a new baby horse!  I love driving past it to take Brady to ABA or to go to our favorite ice cream shop!

And we especially love when my phone creates movies!  Brady has watched some of the movies over and over again - he was the star of one of them and Skye was the star of the other one!

Watching Brady copy motions from his Little Baby Bum show on Netflix is one of my favorite things!  I especially love his spin...
