More May Photos & Videos

 

Brady has been saying, "Cheese please!" and it is SO cute!  I am also obsessed with the way he says, "no!"  His ABA teachers have been working with him in our home on Monday afternoons & they ask him yes or no questions.  I have started holding up my hand & saying, "Brady, is this my foot?" just to hear him say, "No!"  It is also so, so cute when he says, "I want to play ipad," or when he says, "bye bye" before his session is actually over (as if to say, okay, I'm ready for you to go now!)  The heat is here and probably here to stay for the next six months, so Brady will definitely be playing with water in the backyard a lot!  Tyler has been going for a lot of bike rides & I love when he joins us at the playground!

Tyler and I agreed to submit these adorable comparison photos of him for the fifth grade slideshow.  I love that he is at a playground in each one & that I can still see his baby face...

My 42nd Birthday

 

I had a great 42nd birthday!  It was definitely a long day because I woke up at 5:08 & Brady was up shortly after (& then he was up for 16 hours straight!)  Poor Tyler wasn't feeling well but thankfully after Dan took him to Urgent Care (& strep & covid were ruled out) he started to feel much better.  Brady & I went to Starbucks so I could get my free birthday drink, then we went to Target.  I knew it was going to be really hot, so I got a slip 'n slide.  Brady loved playing with it & Tyler even came outside for a bit too.  Brady wore Tyler's old, "Mama's My Girl" shirt, which Tyler wore for my 38th birthday!  I had just finished reading a Lisa Jewell book (The Family Upstairs) and I started another one (Invisible Girl) & I've been rewatching a past Survivor season.  Getting to watch a little Survivor & spend time reading at night was the most relaxing part of the day!  As for gifts, I was most excited to get a hand held vacuum, which makes me think...this is 42?!  :-)

The Wednesday before my birthday, my parents brought us Rio Grande (so good!) & lots of gifts that I waited to open until my actual birthday.  I got a lot of sweet cards & texts from family & friends, too!  The day before my birthday, I was able to go out to dinner with my friend, Vanessa.  We love a pizza place called Bottom's Up, & we only go there twice a year, for our birthdays.  We also got cupcakes from Carytown Cupcake!

Dan & Tyler sang to me, & Tyler chose this new toy for Skye.  I love how Brady kisses him at the end.  It makes perfect sense that Brady is saying that he wants to go outside in both videos...
