Our sweet little Brady was a bit naughty at times during our vacation. He broke my necklace (which thankfully I was able to fix) during family photos, he broke my sunglasses (thankfully his Mummi had some lovely ones I could borrow), & he threw my old phone into the pool the very first morning. We primarily used that phone for the camera & internet & he seems quite sad now that we are home & he can't use it to watch his "shows". There was a life preserver on display at the pool & Brady thought it was absolutely hysterical to throw it into the water over & over again. He also lost two of his hats - one in the ocean (a nice man tried to find it for us but white hats are very tough to spot in the ocean!) & the other one just seemed to disappear! Thankfully I got pictures of him wearing both of them.
He also taught me something about using a safe at a hotel. If you put in the wrong code too many times (he just loved pressing all of the buttons!) it will lock you out of the safe for 30 minutes. This happened to Brady many times. After the first time it happened, I decided not to keep items in the safe anymore! I had to keep the safe locked with my own code the entire time we were there, because I was so afraid that Brady would manage to close it with his own secret code, & we'd never know what it was!
I got to chat with multiple life guards at the water park (haha) and only had to go running & screaming after Brady once (when he headed toward the top of an intermediate slide). We eventually let him go down the slide, but only with Dan being at the top & me catching him in the water at the bottom. I wasn't able to take a picture or video of him going down that slide (perhaps I need to look into water proof cameras for next year!) but I'll never forget his huge smile going down that big orange slide! He looked so happy & adorable! Dan, Tyler, & I even took him down one of the huge slides which had a raft for up to five people. I think I was the most scared, though Brady wasn't eager to go on it again either, thankfully! Dan and Tyler, of course, did all of the crazy water slides & had so much fun!
Thankfully, we all slept very well on this vacation & Brady even took a good car nap near the board walk when we needed him to, so he made up for his naughty behavior. He was also very good on our long car trips (Tyler too!) We didn't choose the best route when heading to the beach (though we never had any traffic since we were the only ones taking that route - ha!) On the way back, Tyler insisted that we stop at my parents' house to pick up Skye. That plan actually worked out really well because my parents' had a yummy lunch for us, & the boys were able to move around a bit before I drove us the rest of the way home. Now that we are back home & our many loads of beach laundry are done, we keep looking through the photos & videos & talking about how much fun we had at the beach! :-)
I love these comparison photos of Brady so much...
