My 41st Birthday

 

I had a great 41st birthday!  We actually celebrated two different days - one with my parents when they were visiting, & then on my actual birthday.  With my parents, we had delicious cupcakes from a bakery in Richmond called Pearls, & they brought me a balloon & flowers!  On my actual birthday, I took Brady to gymnastics, then I dropped him off with Dan & Tyler & I drove to my friend Vanessa's house.  She drove us to downtown Richmond so we could have lunch at our favorite pizza place, Bottom's Up!  We hadn't been there in almost four years!  When I got home, the boys & I went out for ice cream & Brady & I went to the playground.  It was a great day!  

I told Dan that it's crazy to think that on my birthday last year, I had NO idea that just three weeks later, we'd be putting a contract on a new house in a new area & planning to move!

This was the first time Brady was able to wish me  a happy birthday with words...

A Brady Update

 

Brady continues to keep us on our toes at all times!  He is definitely always on the go, and the playground continues to be his favorite place to be.  One day we took five trips to the playground.  Another day, we took three trips after school!  I am convinced that he can hear the ice cream truck from a mile away, whenever it's on the way to our neighborhood.  He always requests the cookies & cream bar!

His new words (which he says very clearly!) include...

shoes

cheese

zip

puzzle

pizza

mailman

He is also waving bye to me every day when I drop him off at school.  He looks so cute holding hands with his teacher & walking towards the building, turning to look back at me multiple times.  (I always wave to him!)  He said, "Hi" to multiple children at the playground yesterday!

Tyler's friend Lily brought her dog, Pablo, over to our backyard one day, & Brady thought it was SO funny!

I love the reaction of the male gymnastics coach when he sees that Brady is about to do a flip...

Brady consistenly says, "Push Dada!" or "Pull Mama" when he's on the swing...

I love hearing him say, "Mama!"  He sounds SO sweet whenever he says it!

He has a new favorite (very wild!) stunt that he likes to do at the playground.  Of course this is much safer than when he tries to do flips!  He always gets lots of compliments from older kids & from adults!

Mother's Day

 

This is a collection of my favorite Mother's Day photos, along with some photos from this year!  (Poor Tyler fell off his bike last week & now has a cast on his right arm.)  We had a very fun Mother's Day!  We took a walk, had a cookie party, made a Starbucks run, & spent time in the backyard.  I was able to watch some of my shows & paint my nails!  I was spoiled with gifts, crafts, & cards from Dan, Tyler, Brady, my parents, & Dan's mom!
