My Aunt Deloris

Last week, my aunt Deloris passed away.  We are very saddened by this loss & are thinking about my Uncle Michael & all of Deloris's loved ones.  I have so many wonderful memories of my aunt.  She was very soft spoken and kind, and the biggest animal lover I've ever known.  I always enjoyed seeing her at family gatherings (she made the best macaroni salad & fudge, which she would bring with her!) & even when she couldn't attend, she'd send beautiful cards & generous gifts.  I will miss all of the kind messages she always left on Facebook when I would post pictures of my boys.

I especially remember Deloris being so sweet with my Grannie.  I remember tearing up at Grannie's funeral when Deloris arrived, because her sisters came too, & I thought that was so sweet & thoughtful.  I am certain that Deloris's sister, her brother, Tommy, & Grannie, were the first ones to hug Deloris in heaven.  She will be very missed by all of us.  We feel lucky to have had her in our family & in our lives & she will always be in our hearts.

ABCs & Monkey Bars!

Earlier this week, I realized that Brady was saying his ABC's!  At first I thought he was trying to tell me that he wanted me to sing them (as I often do when it's bed time) but then it hit me, that he knew them all!  I finally got a video of him saying his ABC's & I am just so amazed and proud of him!

Yesterday, Dan and I took him to the playground and he made it across the monkey bars two times with no help!  (Of course those were the two times I wasn't videotaping him, but I got a video of him making it almost to the end!)

Whenever he does these one arm moves, I think to myself, "This is definitely Dan's child!"  :-)

More January Photos

I love the photos from this month, and especially love the ones of the boys drawing side by side!

I sent this picture to Dan when Brady fell asleep in my arms before 6:00 one day.  He has been trying to skip his nap, and he is sometimes successful, but other days he falls asleep really early...and then he's ready to party in the middle of the night.

I can't believe Brady was so tiny when Tyler turned five and wore his superman birthday shirt, and now Brady is wearing the shirt!  This is my favorite photo of my dad with my boys!

We always love Brady's pictures from school & his artwork...his teachers said he wasn't upset about his balloon flying up to the ceiling.  In fact, he thought it was hysterical & he couldn't stop laughing!  I am convinced that Brady has been trying to say his ABC's lately, but I haven't captured him doing in on camera yet.

The playroom is finally starting to feel really cozy, and the boys (and Skye!) have been spending more time in there lately.  Skye absolutely loves looking out the windows, especially when it snowed!  I have just one more thing to add to the playroom, and then it should be complete!  I know Brady can't wait to have his friends, Milton & Ella, over for playdates this summer!

It was so sweet to see Tyler so proud of Brady's drawing!  I cut off the video too early, but I remember Tyler saying, "I would be really proud of that if it was my drawing!"  :-)

SNOW!

The boys were so excited to play in the snow!  Skye and Brady loved watching the snow falling outside.  Dan, Tyler, and Brady played in the backyard the first day, while I took photos!  Tyler took Dan's gloves so Dan wore my gloves and Tyler wore my boots.  My mom got the boys matching boots (which Tyler wore on day two!) and I accidentally put one of Tyler's boots on Brady!  Oops!

It was fun to see our house and our backyard covered in snow!

On our second snow day, Dan had to work, but Brady and I played in our front yard in the morning, and Tyler played with friends later in the day!
