Sleepy Baby

Most of the photos on my phone are of Brady sleeping.  :-)  Just like his older brother, he loves to sleep while being held!  I usually only hold him for a minute or two, then he sleeps in his crib (on a good day!) but he always looks so peaceful and cute while sleeping!  I can only take photos of him sleeping in his crib if, sadly, I need to wake him up from a nap.  Thankfully that doesn't happen too often!  I'm trying really hard to nurse less now that Brady is one, but he loves to nurse himself to sleep before his naps and bedtime.

I believe Brady's first word was "hi" then he said "ball" for a few days, and now finally..."mama!"  :-)

So Long 2016

I'm sure I sounded like a broken record, when family and friends would ask me how I was doing (especially the last few months of the year!) and I would say, "Most physically exhausting year of my life!"  :-)  I kept telling myself, "Once Christmas is over, things will slow down!"  I had no idea that I'd soon be even more exhausted in 2017!  Of course our boys are worth it!  Poor Brady has two teeth coming in, which we are hoping was the cause of his worst two week period of sleep since his newborn stage!

Winter Break

We had a great time during Tyler and Dan's winter break!  We were happy to have a few days of nice weather, so we could go to the park and take walks to the volleyball court.  We went to an indoor soccer field one day and I enjoyed a long, relaxing coffee date with my friend, Julie.  My parents watched Tyler and Brady so Dan and I could go to a Japanese steakhouse the day before New Years Eve.  (Dan was the only one awake this year to watch the ball drop!)  We spent a few weeks without a couch, while waiting for our new one to arrive.  The boys didn't seem to mind having just one chair, which we borrowed from downstairs, and seemed to enjoy having a reading nook.  Both boys have been enjoying all of their Christmas presents. :-)  Dan and Tyler worked all week on the Millennium Falcon lego kit, and it looks great!
