A Double Decker Bus

One morning Tyler asked me to make him a double decker bus out of legos!  :-)  He seemed pretty happy with it afterwards.  :-)

Spring Break - Part 1

We started spring break with beautiful weather!  We went to the pier, the volleyball court, and took a trip to see the cherry blossoms.  We also ran tons of errands and did a lot of cleaning!  Dan went to lunch and saw a movie with a friend and I visited the hair salon for a long overdue cut.  We also met up with friends at an indoor soccer field, which Tyler loved.  :-)  My dad celebrated his birthday and Tyler made him a special sign.  When we called to sing "happy birthday" it was Tyler who sang the loudest.  :-)

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Tyler loves to listen to "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" in the car.  He'll say, "It's number six!" because it's the sixth song on the cd.  :-)  He looked so cute in the shirt his friends Brooklyn and Jason sent him for his birthday!

Counting Down to Spring Break

This week Tyler had a playdate with his friends, Noah and Baby Alex.  :-)  He got to see all of his grandparents, which always makes him very happy!  He also had some father/son bonding time with Dan while I took pictures of a nine day old baby boy.  :-)  Dan and I took him on a little day trip and he loved being able to stand in a British telephone booth.  Tyler also enjoyed a trip to the park and to the pier and was very good when we took (yet another) trip to the mall.  He was thrilled when we stopped at a light right next to two men on motocycles.  He waved and waved.  Finally, one of the men noticed him and waved back.  The UPS guy in our neighborhood waved to him too when he was playing at the volleyball court.  :-)

"Now I'm Three!"

The first time I found myself saying, "I have a three year old at home," I couldn't really believe it! 

This week was exhausting!  I now have my photography business license.  :-)  I am very excited to start doing photo shoots again.  :-)  We went to Harper's 1st birthday party, which had an adorable sunshine theme.  Ironically, the party was on March 30th and it snowed!!  We got our family picture taken at the party and Tyler's friend, Zachary, wanted to be in the picture with us.  :-)  Dan put his arm about Zachary and for a minute we pretended we had twin boys.  :-)  Tyler also had two playdates - one with his friends Colin, Ella, Emma, and Baby Charlotte, and one with Reed, Dylan, and Baby Lily! 

Tyler's 3rd Birthday Party!

Tyler was so excited to celebrate his birthday at Monkey Joe's!  He was such a lucky boy to have 42 people (including 21 toddler & baby friends!) come and celebrate with him.  He was especially happy to have Mummi, Papaw, Gaga, Uncle Steven, Uncle Shane, Aunt Kristen, and his cousins Ben & Julia there.  He got to run around and play, eat pizza & cake, and he had a special visit from Monkey Joe, who gave him a t-shirt.  :-)  He also got to sit in a special chair and he opened a few of his presents.  He requested his favorite ice cream treat on the way out.  When we were almost home, he said, "I can't wait to be home!" and, "I'm so happy you bought me this ice cream."  :-)  We still haven't opened all of his gifts, and he's planning to open the gifts from his Mummi next time she is over for a visit.  He was so lucky to get gifts and cards from friends and family, including Aunt Caroline, Uncle Brian, and his cousin Liam in California, and our friends Megan, J, Bella, and Ever in South Carolina.  He's eagerly anticipating the package he knows is on its way from Shanna, Jason, Brooklyn, and Baby Jason, who live outside of the US!!  He is so lucky to have so many wonderful people who care about him.  He definitely had a GREAT third birthday!!  :-)
