Family Time at the Beach

 

It was great to be able to spend so much time together as a family on this vacation.  Dan & I were very spoiled and got to have a bunch of dinner & lunch dates!  We are so thankful to my parents for letting us stay with them.  We know this is a vacation that we will talk to Tyler about for years to come.  We all loved hearing him say his full name again & again on this trip.  It was amazing to see how much he has changed from last year's beach trip (& the one before that!).  Last year when we'd take him to the beach, he wanted to climb the stairs to go play in the parking lot.  :-)  This year he liked running around in the water & playing, which was so fun to watch.  He would say, "South Carolina" & "bye hotel".  :-)  He was such a sweet little beach boy!!

Beach Photo Shoot

I took pictures of my brother & sister-in-law on their 10 year wedding anniversary!  It was very, very windy but they were troopers!  I was very happy to get a picture of my parents with their three grandchildren too.  :-)  Tyler took a dip in the baby pool (fully clothed!) during the shoot.  Silly boy :-)

Beach Fun!

Tyler had so much fun at the beach!  He loved being able to see my parents every single day.  In fact, every morning when he woke up, he ran out of the room yelling, "Gaga!  Papa!"  He loved to turn on the radio in their room & have a dance party each day.  He also loved playing with his cousins, Ben & Julia.  We went to the beach, the pool, & the park, & we also went putt putt golfing.  Tyler enjoyed throwing his ball & golf club in the water.  :-)  There was also a splash park that he enjoyed.  By the end of each day, he was exhausted (and we were too!)

Julia's 1st Birthday

Our second night at the beach, we got to celebrate my niece Julia's 1st birthday at the pool!  She was such an adorable birthday girl :-)  Tyler loved playing with his cousins & eating cake!  He gave me great smiles when I placed a bottle of sunscreen on my head!

Road Trip

Dan, Tyler, & I got to spend a week in Hilton Head, SC with my parents!  I hadn't been to Hilton Head in eight years (I didn't even know Dan existed the last time I was there!!)  My brother, sister-in-law, niece, & nephew were in town too, so we were very excited.

We decided to take our time getting there & to split up the drive.  Thank goodness that was our plan because the first part of our trip (which should have taken 2 1/2 hours) took five hours due to traffic.  Amazingly, we were all in a pretty good mood & Tyler was a trooper!  We stopped to have ice cream with my friend Vanessa & her husband, Adam, then we stayed in Wilson, NC for a night.  :-)  The next day we drove to Charleston, SC to visit my friend Megan & her kids, Bella & Baby Ever.  We went to a nearby outlet mall & Tyler loved all of the rides.  He kept saying, "More money!"  since they each cost $1.  :-)

Father's Day & A Haircut

I think Dan had a very happy Father's Day :-)  We went to Dan's mom's house where we had lunch and took a walk to a playground.  Tyler loved swinging & going down the slide multiple times.  He left his Mummi's house with an ambulance which he loves!  Then we went to Hair Cuttery so Dan & Tyler could get matching haircuts.  Tyler got a cone afterwards which he seemed to enjoy.  :-)

I can't believe how he's grown since Dan's first Father's Day!
