Santa Picture :-)

Tyler has grown so much in a year!  :-)  He did not like Santa as much as he did last year, but he didn't cry.  There was a much longer line this year & he was a trooper.  He loved the falling fake snow.  :-)

Parties

This week I got to have dinner with my friend Julie!  Tyler had a playdate with Brooklyn & Baby Jason, & he went to a playdate at Noah's house, where he got to see many of his friends.  We also went to two very fun holiday parties!  Both parties had a white elephant gift exchange.  Dan & I got a fondue kit, & Tyler got a microphone he can use to record his voice - very fun!  :-)

A Photo Shoot With Friends :-)

For the second time, our mom's group organized a photo shoot for all of the kids!  Unfortunately, not everyone could be there, but we are happy to have pictures of Tyler with so many of his friends.  Tyler still tried to run away quite a bit, but he was very good overall.  The kids all looked adorable, & it's so fun to compare these pictures to the ones we took last April!  :-)

Redskins Game

Dan and I attended the Redskins vs. Ravens game with my dad, & we had the best time!  I had no idea that we'd be sitting right above the tunnel where the Redskins would enter & exit.  It was neat to get to see them up close - especially RGIII!!  It was a very exciting game & luckily the rain held off.  Dan & I had never attended an NFL game in the seven years we've been together, and I can't remember another time where I've spent a day with just my husband & my dad!  It was so much fun & I'm so glad the Redskins won!  Tyler was thrilled to spend the day with his "gaga" (who bought him the super cute "Future Raven" hat).  The Redskins & Ravens only play each other once every four years.  Maybe next time Tyler can come with us!  :-)

South Carolina Trip

This week I traveled to South Carolina to spend the weekend with my friend, Megan, and her family.  The last time I was there, I was 20 weeks pregnant with Tyler.  It was great to go shopping, get our nails done, eat in a restaurant kid-free (!), go to Starbucks, & be able to talk for hours & hours.  I got Tyler two Christmas gifts & some adorable clothing.  I did a photo shoot for Megan, her husband J, & her daughter, Bella, which turned out great! 

Tyler had a playdate with Brooklyn & Baby Jason this week & he attended a craft playdate with a bunch of his friends at Noah's house.  My mom's group had a dinner at Melting Pot - yum!  Dan also had three days off, which was so nice.  :-)

I'm having a hard time keeping track of Tyler's new words because he is repeating so much now.  He's been saying, "key", "chicken", "tree" (he used to call them "gog" because of the bark), & "oh dear".  He is so funny!  I can't wait to take him to see Santa but I am waiting for the scratch & bruise on his face to go away.  :-)

Tyler is 20 Months Old!

This week Tyler had a playdate with Brooklyn & Baby Jason & one with his friends Noah, Joey, & Zachary.  He loved seeing so many family members on Thanksgiving, and we loved having Dan home for four days!  We were all very happy to watch the Redskins & the Ravens both win this week, & we are looking forward to watching the games that are coming up. 

If I ask Tyler what letter his name starts with, he says, "T".  If I say, "one" he will say, "two".  And if I point to anything blue & ask what color it is, he'll say, "blue".  We do this all day long.  :-)  If I ask him what people do on the toilet he says, "pee pee" and "poo poo" (although he is nowhere near ready for that!!).  It's so funny!  He is also requesting cheese, juice, apples, & beans, since he can say all of those words.  He cracks us up. :-)

Just like last year, I was unable to commit to just one Christmas card design this year. 

I can't believe how much he's changed from last year...

I have always had Tyler's birth announcement on our refrigerator (and probably always will!) but lately I've been finding myself wishing I had used a different picture.  I had sent them out soon after Tyler was born, but then I took a picture of him that would have been perfect.  I looked at the site we used to make his announcement & they still had the same design.  I was able to switch the picture & order a new one. The announcement arrived, is now on display, & it makes me happy!  :-)
