Tyler is 15 Months Old! :-)

This was a busy week!  I got to have lunch with my friend Tara while Tyler spent time with my mom.  We also had a visit from my friends, Katie and Julie.  Dan & I took Tyler to the pool and to Red Robin, where he drank his milk from a straw and sat in a booster seat for the first time.  :-)  We had a playdate with Brooklyn & Baby Jason & enjoyed a fun family BBQ after visiting Baby Julia.  Tyler and I hosted a playdate with many of his baby friends and we all wore our pajamas!  We also had a great time playing at one of the parks in our neighborhood (after a trip to Starbucks!)  I'm so thankful that it wasn't so hot this week since Tyler absolutely loves to be outside.

Tyler waves to anyone we pass while walking in our neighborhood or at the grocery store.  He says, "bye bye" to all of the airplanes and to Dan every morning.  I discovered that teeth #15 & #16 are coming in on top - poor baby.  Tyler has found that he really enjoys throwing his toys off the deck & down the stairs.  :-)

Tyler's New Cousin!! :-)

On Friday, June 22nd, my brother Shane, sister-in-law Kristen, and nephew Ben, welcomed Julia Marie!  She was born at 6:47 am and was 7 lbs 8 oz and 21 inches long.  She is such a beautiful, precious baby!
Dan, Tyler, and I drove to the hospital on Saturday.  Tyler wasn't allowed to meet Julia at the hosptial but he was a great sport waiting in the car while Dan and I took turns visiting.  I can't wait to have pictures of Julia with Tyler and with her Uncle Steven too!  We are so, so excited to have Julia in our family.

June Events

This week was Father's Day!  We went to the pool then met Dan's mom for dinner at Dan's favorite restaurant, Not Your Average Joe's.  I loved looking at pictures from Dan's first Father's Day last year, and seeing how much Tyler has grown!  We also celebrated my cousin Kelly's high school graduation and got to see many family members.

Tyler and I went to a playdate at Joey's house and got to see many of our baby friends (and their moms too of course!)  He also had a playdate with Brayden and one with Baby Jason & Brooklyn too.  :-)

Tyler loves to say, "ball"!  He also has two more teeth coming in on the bottom - #13 & #14.  He doesn't seem bothered by the heat.  He loves to walk around the neighborhood and see all of the windmills.  :-)

Tyler's Favorite Things

Right now Tyler especially loves two things - his "gog" and his photo books.  He knows where I keep his photo books and he will point to the pile and whine until I get one and show him all of the pictures.  Once we are done he insists that we go through another one.  (This can go on for quite awhile!)  He also wants to read his new pop up book & his "Where is Daddy?" book over & over & over again.  The "dada" book has an actual picture of Dan at the end and Tyler takes it out & gives him a kiss.  It's adorable!  :-)  Tyler will carry his "gog" all over and now insists on holding him while he falls asleep.  We play on our deck all the time.  Usually we have a ball or two but lately Tyler wants to bring all sorts of toys, including "gog".  :-)

Unfortunately, Tyler had a fever this week so we spent a lot of time at home.  Before he got sick we had a playdate with Brooklyn & Baby Jason & once he was feeling better we went to a playdate at a park.  We packed a lunch & Tyler got to play with Anna, Charlotte, Baby Michael, Joey, Brooklyn, & Sophia.

The Field

Dan and I love to put Tyler in his wagon and walk over to the field near our house.  Tyler loves to run around and watch the airplanes go by.  :-)

Little Man

This was a busy week!!  Tyler was very lucky because he got to see all of his grandparents.  He loves them so much and loves to spend time with them!  I got to spend three hours (baby free) at the pool for the first time in almost two years!  It was so nice and Dan joined me for the second half.  :-)  We had a playdate at Brooklyn & Baby Jason's house and then they came over to our house one day so I could take some pictures of them!  I love using my canon rebel whenever I can, especially when I have adorable baby models to photograph. :-)  We went to a playdate at Colin & Ella's house and a playdate at Joey's house with our baby boy friends.  Tyler and I are SO lucky to have so many great friends in the neighborhood!  We also had lunch with my friend Judy and we went to the library so I could get more Kate White books.  I've been trying to read a lot more and I've read four Kate White books in the last month.  They are so good!  Tyler did not seem interested in reading books in the children's section.  He wanted to run around instead.  :-)  Dan was able to work from home one afternoon and stay with Tyler so I could attend a retirement party for three friends I used to work with.  I was so glad that I was able to go.  :-)

Tyler loves to push chairs (with a little bit of help).  He also loves to dance and will lift both arms up in the air while he dances, which is adorable.  If we say, "How big is Tyler?" he will lift his right arm up.  :-)  He wants all of the lights to be on at all times lately and he will go over to the refrigerator to let us know when he is thirsty.  He has said, "Bye dada" twice, which is his first phrase.  He is such a good boy and so sweet!

Neighborhood Celebration :-)

Every year our neighborhood has a "celebration".  Although I have lived here for seven years and Dan has lived here for five years, this is the first year that we have actually gone to the celebration.  We met up with Tyler's friends Brooklyn, Baby Jason, Sophia, Baby Emily (who was sleeping), & Avery, and we also ran into his friend Colin!  Tyler seemed to really enjoy the petting zoo, the animal races, and watching the crazy rides.  Dan won him a red, white, & blue basketball.  :-)  We also enjoyed the lemonade and fried reeces peanut butter cups!  We were able to walk there, which was nice, but Tyler was a bit too tired (and perhaps a bit too small!) to go on rides this year.  Dan and I enjoyed watching the fireworks show later on in the evening, which thankfully, didn't wake Tyler.
