Week 35

This week was busy! We put up our Christmas tree and Tyler loves to look at it (and of course tries to reach for the ornaments). We attended a baby playdate with our neighborhood baby friends (& moms!) Tyler didn't know what to think about baby Ryan's ball pit - so fun! We also enjoyed playdates with baby Brooklyn and baby Cole! Finally, we had dinner with Julie. :-) We realized this week that four of Tyler's top teeth are all arriving at the same time - poor baby! :-( He is being a trooper. I keep trying to imagine what he is going to look like with four top teeth. So exciting!

Tyler is very particular about his books. He has many books on the book shelf in his nursery but he only wants to read certain ones. When we are finished reading those, however, he is not happy. Downstairs we like to read three of our favorites - Seashore Baby, A Cuddle for Little Duck, and Me and My Dad. He loves pop up books the best & toys that make music. :-)

Parade :-)

My dad has been in a parade for years now. The parade is always the day after Thanksgiving. Five or six years ago I went with my mom and we saw baby twins in santa outfits. I thought it was the cutest thing I had ever seen! I said that one day when I had a baby, we'd do the same thing. Tyler was an adorable baby santa :-)

Thanksgiving - Tyler is 8 months old!

Tyler turned 8 months old on Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful time at my parents house. My brothers Steven & Shane, my sister-in-law Kristen, my nephew Ben, Kristen's parents, and Dan's mom were all there. Ben was wearing a shirt that said, "World's Greatest Brother", announcing the news that there will be a new baby added to our family in 2012. Yay!!! :-)

Week 34

This week we attended a playdate at Baby Zachary's house. Tyler also got to spend time with all of his grandparents! We met Crystal and her boys, Nathaniel and Mason, at Red Robin. :-)

This week (thanks to a tip from my friend Allison) Tyler ate squash, sweet potatoes, and carrots - yay! :-) He loves playing with his soft blocks and his very own remote control.

Week 33

This week we visited Chrissy, who said that Tyler's hair reminds her of a baby chick. :-) I like to call it Ren McCormack hair (Kevin Bacon in Footloose). We also had lunch at Moes with 10 other moms & babies - so fun! Dan surprised me with flowers on Nov. 10th - the 6 year anniversary of our first date :-) We enjoyed a date night & saw a movie together for the first time since Tyler's birth. (Tower Heist - so funny!) Finally, Tyler and I visited my school to see friends. We got to see his "Got Fruit?" poster for the first time. The photo was taken when he was only 11 days old. He was so tiny!

Park Fun :-)

Tyler loves swinging! :-) We took him to a park near my parent's house this weekend. We weren't sure what he would think about the swing but he kept laughing and I finally (after weeks of trying!) was able to get a picture of him showing off his four teeth. :-)

Week 32

November 5th was the six year anniversary of the night Dan and I met! This week Tyler and I hosted two playdates - one with baby Brooklyn and one with baby Emma, baby Joey, & baby Avery. We also attended a playdate at Avery's house. I also got to enjoy a dinner with Leigh at PF Changs. :-)

Tyler has been eating peaches & apples, a little bit of sweet potatoes, and a little bit of oatmeal. He still likes bananas and pears the best. I keep trying to give him peas and green beans but he is not interested at all! He has had little bites of puffs. He likes to roll & roll & roll across the floor. For some reason, watching him always makes me think of Mission Impossible. :-)
