March

This month has definitely been nonstop and a bit crazy.  We had a 85 degree day then the next day it snowed.  We had a tornado warning & had to all get into our tiny downstairs bathroom, which made Sky and Winter very unhappy!  

Winnie was spayed and had her microchip implanted.  When Brady and I picked her up, she seemed completely out of it.  I thought she would be really calm when we got home, but once she was allowed out of her crate, she started going crazy because of the cone she was wearing.  She was desperate to take it off.  She was supposed to wear her cone (which looked adorable!) for 14 days...I don't think she lasted 14 minutes.  I tried a onesie (which was a no go) and a donut for her to wear, but she was NOT having it!  Thankfully she has been good about leaving her incision alone, but it's definitely been stressful!  I had to rush her to the vet one day to have her incision checked, but thankfully she was okay.

Brady started his ninja warrior class at the YMCA!  He really enjoyed ninja warrior last year too.  One boy in the class watched Brady do the obstacle course and said, "He's got moves!"

The teenagers in our neighborhood are so kind to Brady!  If they are playing a full court basketball court and he arrives, they let him have a basket and they switch to playing a half-court game.  And they cheer for him when he makes a basket!  They also invited him to play volleyball with them...

Comet Gala

Brady and I attended the Comet Gala at his school on Friday!  We got all dressed up and he looked so handsome!  Tyler did an amazing job taking photos of us beforehand.  We met up with my friends, Jessica and Jessica, and their daughters.

The best part of the night was seeing Brady's friends and classmates come up to him and be so excited to see him.  His friend Natalie came over to see him and his friend Sydney.  A group of boys came over and gave him hugs and wanted their picture taken with him & it was SO sweet.

Brady's Recorder Concert

 

Brady had his 4th grade recorder concert last night and it was SO adorable!  We love watching him perform with his class!  Brady and I got to his school 35 minutes before the doors opened so that I would get a good seat.  I managed to get seats in the 4th row, and Dan and I had a perfect view of Brady!  (Dan was able to get there after work, about ten minutes before the concert started.  Tyler stayed home to watch Winnie, who had surgery this past Monday.)  

We loved seeing Brady playing his recorder.  There were a few times he turned around and covered his ears, since it probably was a bit overwhelming for him!  He noticed Dan and I towards the end of the concert and once he saw us, he kept looking at me and saying, "Go?"  At one point he even said, "Mama?  What?  Go?"  He was ready to hit the road!  It was his third performance of the day, so I'm sure he was exhausted!

Dan’s Birthday Weekend

 

It was so nice that Dan's birthday fell on a Saturday this year!  After school on Friday, Brady and I went out to buy Dan four balloons.  (One of them, a heart shaped valentine balloon that said, "I Love You" was sent up into the sky by Brady before I could take a picture of it!)  On Friday night, Brady and I took Tyler to one of his favorite trails and thankfully there was a playground where Brady could play.  On Dan's birthday, Brady and I went to his gymnastics class and to the neighborhood basketball court (twice).  Dan and Tyler went biking & brought home Mexican takeout.  We sang to Dan and had cake and he opened his cards.  I think he had a great day!
