Mother's Day

I got to celebrate Mother's Day this past Monday with my parents and then again with my boys!
Brady and I had gone to Kroger the day before their visit & I had seen a balloon that I loved...but it was $17.  So we chose a cute, $4.00 ballon instead, but of course...the next day I went back & got the expensive one!  (Good thing I picked up a subbing job that day!)  Brady was SO sweet writing, "Happy Mother's Day" in chalk (all on his own!) on our driveway.

This morning Brady kept saying, “Mother’s Day upstairs?” and I wasn’t sure what he meant.  But then, when we went upstairs, he opened the closet that has decorations for holidays, and I realized he wanted me to decorate!  So we did!

Brady has always had quite a sense of humor...

I always love his artwork from school & I especially love Mother's Day artwork...

I love these photos of my mom...

And some of my favorite photos of me as a mom...

This was the best picture I got with my boys (while we were waiting to go into Kings Dominion)…

The Sweetest Little Guy

Brady has been going through each month and telling us what holidays we can expect.  It is the cutest thing ever!

The Longest Month Ever

This month was...not my favorite.  I'm so glad we had such a wonderful time celebrating my dad's (big!) birthday, because that was the bright spot of the month.  While we did enjoy lots & lots of time outside (Brady loves to take daily walks on the neighborhood trail!) there was definitely a lot of drama.  There was the stomach flu that hit three of us, a massive (and very expensive!) termite situation in our garage that has thankfully been taken care of, & other little stressors here & there.

On the plus side, Tyler attended two church youth groups with his friend Aaron (Brady and I would pick him up at 8:45 pm on a school night!) and Brady attended his friend, Madelyn's 6th birthday party.  Brady had an evaluation at a new speech center we are hoping he will start going to, & he finished up his ninja warrior class at the YMCA!

Making me happy during this crazy month...

Seeing this amazing dog cloud...

Seeing this heart shape on one of my favorite trees (during one of my early walks around the neighborhood)...

This gorgeous picture a neighbor of mine took of a spot on our neighborhood trail...

My neighbor took this picture during Madelyn's roller skating party...

I came across this picture of Dan and I from 2006...

We are so proud of Brady for doing such a great job in his ninja class...

Brady unfortunately fell during the roller skating party (but thankfully was okay!) & I happened to capture it on video.  He has watched the video over & over again & he cracks up every time he watches it...

I got to see a family of geese walking down the street...

Brady was very excited about Southern Pest Control coming to our house this past Tuesday...
