The Last Day of School

For the first time ever (for us), the last day of school was in May!  Tyler finished up his seventh grade year on Friday, May 24th.  Brady had four half days after Memorial Day, so his last day of second grade was May 31st.  Tyler earned a special academic award, and Brady received a class clown award (no surprise there!)

While Brady was enjoying his last day of school, I took Tyler to his 13 year doctor appointment.  We found out that he is 5’8” tall (3 inches taller than me!) and he grew 6 inches in the last year!  I can’t believe how much more grown-up he looks now compared to his first day of seventh grade…

When Brady had my phone one day this week, I saw that he had typed, “third grade”…

Outdoor Fun

 

Now that summer weather is here, Brady is all about "water play" in the back yard.  Over Memorial Day weekend, Dan's mom, sister, & our nephew Liam, came to visit us!  Tyler and Brady had a lot of fun with their cousin! 

I got to experience "bring your child to work day" when I brought Brady to his gymnastics studio, so I could do a photo shoot.  

Tyler was able to find two missing golden retrievers in our neighborhood, and return them to their backyard.  I got to help owners reunite with a missing pug and a missing German shephard.  Brady wasn't thrilled when those two dogs ended up in our yard, that is for sure!
