Holiday Season

I went about decorating for Christmas very differently this year.  Since I decorated Brady's room early, I didn't feel the need to start decorating midday on Thanksgiving like I did the previous two years.  In fact, I didn't even start decorating until the Saturday after Thanksgiving, which may be the latest I've ever waited to start.  I always start with the Christmas tree but this year, I worked on decorating the house first.  We didn't put our tree up until Dec. 2nd and we didn't add any ornaments until the 3rd!

Brady has only broken one ornament (thankfully it was one that I have duplicates of!) and Skye has been very good about not pulling ornaments off the tree.  He loves to sit under the tree & I think he may have jumped through the branches a few times, but I was able to move them to deter him from doing it again.  I love having the house decorated for Christmas!  I remember last year I wanted everything spotless every day (which is not normal year-round) and I would put all of Brady's toys away every night.  That is definitely not happening so far this year!!!

Christmas decorations make me happy...

I added and changed a few things in Brady's room once we started to decorate the rest of the house...

I love how Brady says, "Gagi & Papi" & he loves it when my parents come to visit on Thursdays...

After a very long wait (!!!) we got to see Santa drive by our house on a fire truck...

I must remember next year, that once Santa enters our neighborhood, we will know it, because the sirens are loud!  So we won't need to be on the lookout until we hear the sirens!  Brady was very ready for bed as soon as Santa left!

Christmas Cards

 

Two things always seem to be consistent with me when it comes to Christmas cards.  One, I can never order just one style (the free cards & coupons from two different sites always throw me off!)  And two, I can never decide on which photos to use!

I had a few different variations of this card...

Of course, my days of having cards sent the day before Thanksgiving (so that they'd arrive the day after Thanksgiving!) are long gone!!!

Brady & Tyler both got to attend birthday parties this month!  Tyler went out to birthday dinner with a group of friends & Brady got to attend his friend Aidan's birthday party at Defy.
