Our New Cat, Skye

 

Tyler has been asking for a cat for a very long time, and today, he got one!  Dan and I were proud of ourselves for keeping the secret, so we were able to surprise him after school today!  :-)

After we dropped the boys off at school, we went to the Humane Society in our county, to meet Skye!  (Tyler picked Skye's name and said that if we end up getting a second cat, we will name that cat, Winter.)  Skye was a bit nervous when we got him home, and wanted to hide under Tyler's bed, but after I sat next to the bed for awhile, he slowing warmed up to me and started to come out to explore the room.  Tyler was so happy with his surprise when he got home from school!  Brady met Skye later on in the evening (because he fell asleep on the way home from school!) and we can tell he loves having a "real life kitty cat" at home.  :-)

I absolutely love that Skye has a heart!  It just feels meant to be that he has become a part of our family!  :-)

September Fun

The boys have been busy with school this month (though they did get to have the first two Mondays off!)  It feels like when they aren't at school, Brady is at the playground, usually on the swing, and Tyler wants to go biking!  He and Dan discovered a park right down the street from our neighborhood where they can bike in the woods!  

We had a great visit with my aunt Kathy and my cousin Christian!  It's always so fun to have visitors!  We are SO happy about the cooler weather we've had lately!  

Brady still loves to spy (typically from a swing...)

...and he still loves to nap in the car.
