We had a wonderful Christmas! When we got home from Dan's mom's house on Christmas Eve, the Christmas hat I had ordered for Brady was on our front step, having arrived just in time! He looked adorable in it, and I loved the boys' matching (casual) Christmas pajamas. Tyler said he is over wearing traditional holiday pajamas now that he is eight. ;-) I explained to Tyler that on Christmas morning this year, there wouldn't be any presents under the tree when he first woke up. That's because, when Brady sees presents, he immediately starts unwrapping them! Since he is typically the first one downstairs (with me right behind him!) I told Tyler we would wait until we were all awake, then "Mommy Elf" would get the presents and put them under the tree. Luckily, Tyler didn't seem bothered by this plan! The boys had a lot of fun unwrapping their gifts and then playing with them!
At around noon, my parents and my brother, Steven, arrived, and the boys got to open even more presents! We had a great time celebrating Christmas with them, and the boys loved their gifts! They brought yummy Chinese food, and cookies - gingerbread for Tyler and sugar cookies for me! We love spending Christmas with them. :-)
Unfortunately, at around two o'clock, Tyler's ear started hurting. Dan decided to take him to the only urgent care in our area that was open on Christmas, and after about two hours they headed home with medicine. Poor Tyler had an ear infection, but thankfully he spent most of the day feeling okay and still had a very happy Christmas! Brady and I both napped while the boys were gone. The holidays are very fun, but also tiring!
