July Fun

July was busy!  Tyler had playdates at our house with his friends Kenny and Sam.  He also got to play at the pool with his friends, Luke, Carter, and Grant.  He had gymnastics camp or swim lessons almost every day during the week, and loved taking more trips to the pool on weekends.  He had so much fun at his friend Alex's birthday party.  Brady also had so much fun spending a day with my parents so I could visit my friend Vanessa!

Brady is 19 Months Old!

Brady is 19 months old!  He says ball, baba (bottle), num num (pacifier), mama, up, and he even said dada last week (to Tyler!)  He loves to help us put clean dishes away. He also loves putting clothes into the dryer and then taking them out and putting them in the laundry basket once they're clean.  :-)  Most days he takes one nap, which is usually an hour and forty minutes (sometimes they are longer and sometimes they are shorter!)  He's doing better about sleeping in his crib for longer stretches at night, but he has not yet slept an entire night in his crib!!  He always naps in his crib, but twice this past week, he woke up and fell back asleep while cuddling with me.  I remember when that used to be a daily occurrence!  He wears size 5 diapers and size 18-24 month clothing (even some 2T!)  He is 26 pounds and wants to be outside as much as possible.  He doesn't seem to mind the heat but entertaining him at the pool is still tough!  He still loves Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom and reading books.  My favorite moment of every day is when Tyler wakes up and comes downstairs, because Brady always immediately walks over to him and gives him a hug to say good morning.  :-)  We love our Bray Bray!

He's grown so much!

Fourth of July Weekend

We had a great Fourth of July weekend!  We were so happy that Dan had a four day weekend!  Tyler and Brady had a great time with my parents on Saturday night, while Dan and I attended a going away party for our friends, Christa and Lance, who are moving.  The party was at a country club and was so nice!  We were excited to be able to go out on a date, because it was the nine year anniversary of our engagement!  We had a great time chatting with my friend, Angie, who was also able to go.  :-) 

We moved the boys rooms around a bit and Dan put together Tyler's new bed!  I love having Brady's crib under his "B-R-A-D-Y" letters (and am relieved that he cannot reach them!)  It reminds me of how we used to have the crib set up in Tyler's room when he was a baby!  We went to Dan's mom's house for lunch and Tyler was thrilled to play tennis for the first time!  On July 4th we went to Tyler's favorite pool in our neighborhood, which has a huge water slide.  Dan, Tyler, and I all took turns going down the slide (poor Brady has to wait a few years...)  :-)

Little Swimmer :-)

Tyler is so excited to have learned how to swim!  He finished his eight lessons and he enjoyed them so much and did so well, that we decided to sign him up for eight more.  He loves working with his swim coach, Ivan.  :-)
