The Last Day of Kindergarten

We are so happy that Tyler had such a great year in kindergarten!  He loved his teachers and classmates and he learned so much!  We can't believe how well he is reading, counting, and writing.  We are so excited for him to be a first grader next year!

He loved all of the end of the year activities - field day, eating lunch in the cafeteria, and the end of the year party.  He went to the school playground after school on the last day, and he gave his good friend Hayley lots of hugs since she'll soon be moving out of state.  He will miss her so much!

During the first few weeks of school, there was a yearbook decorating contest, and Tyler wanted to enter since he loves to draw.  When I saw his yearbook in his backpack, I knew the winning drawings for each grade level would be on the back cover.  But I was in shock when I saw Tyler's drawing!  He was thrilled to be the kindergarten winner!  :-)  We are so proud of him!

Waving!

Brady started waving this week!  He waved to the trash truck, to a car that drove by our house, and to his dad and brother when they left to go to the playground.  :-)

The Sweetest Thing

Multiple times a day, Tyler will say, "Hug Brady, hug," and Brady will run or walk to him and give him a hug.  Most of the time, Tyler will then kiss him on the top of his head.  I love seeing them do this so, so much!!!  :-)

Kindergarten Rocks

We love when Tyler comes home and recites poems or performs songs he's learned at school!  A few weeks ago, he started singing a special song about first grade that he and his classmates had been practicing for their upcoming rock concert.  My parents watched Brady so I could attend the concert and I loved hearing all of the poems and songs Tyler has learned this year.  I took a bunch of videos to show Dan (who couldn't come because he's helping out on Field Day instead!) and my parents.  Tyler can't wait to show all of the videos to his Mummi, when she returns from her trip!

While singing at home, Tyler had to break up his song into two videos.  Brady ran into the little lego area and I had to stop recording to go catch him.  :-)
