Sleepy Beach Boy

Brady slept a lot on this vacation.  I think the sun, wind, beach, and pool just wore him out.  Once we were back home, he barely slept for four days!  I kept reminding myself on this trip that even though taking a nursing baby to the beach isn't easy, the next two years will be harder!  I remember Tyler sleeping in his beach tent as a baby then the following year, we'd take him to the beach and he'd walk straight back to the parking lot (over and over and over again).  :-)  The most relaxing moments on this trip (besides watching the Olympic trials in pajamas!) were when I got to sit in a pool chair and watch Tyler, while holding a sleeping Brady, and Dan would walk over with a pina colida.  Heaven!

Vacation, Part 3

We had a lot of fun on vacation!  Everything (except for our first day of travel!) went much more smoothly than I thought it would.  What saved us was having access to a parking garage next to a pool, bar/grill, and the beach.  We would have lunch, play at the beach, then go to the pool.  Brady would usually fall asleep and Tyler would play in the baby pool with other kids.  Dan and I never thought we'd be able to just sit by the pool on this vacation, but it was so nice while it lasted!  We didn't break up the trip going home, and thankfully we were able to get home in 11.5 hours.  Dan drove the whole time and I sat between the two car seats the entire time.  We loved having two little beach boys this year!!  :-)

Vacation, Part 2

Tyler really wanted to go on the pirate cruise again this year.  Luckily, my friend Chrissy, her husband Dennis, and her son Brayden were on vacation at the same time as us.  Tyler loved being able to go on the pirate cruise with Brayden!  Chrissy, Brady, and I enjoyed sitting in rocking chairs eating ice cream while the boys were gone.  :-)  After the cruise we went to a huge park that has a tree house.

Tyler is definitely a beach boy and loved building sand castles with Dan. :-)  Brady only smiled once at the beach but he seemed happier at the pool!
