We went to Dan's mom's house for Christmas dinner and had a great time visiting with her, Dan's sister Caroline, our brother-in-law Brian, and our nephew, Liam! Tyler and Liam had matching pajamas and were adorable together. Tyler carried around a pretty Christmas mug because that's where he was keeping his m&ms. :-) We were also able to skype with our relatives who live in England! Tyler asked them what it's like to be on a double decker bus. :-) He was very excited to get his squishy sand at last. He also got the Lego movie, a spiderman bowling set, and an aquarium. It was a wonderful Christmas!!

Christmas, Part 2
My parents and my brother Steven came over for brunch and to open gifts. We all had a great time with them! Tyler loves his Paw Patrol command center and his Spiderman toys and house. He has been playing with them nonstop. We love reading his new books too. :-) My parents loved their Tyler quote book. I had been keeping track of Tyler's funny sayings for a very long time but didn't know what to do with them. Thankfully, Young House Love shared that they did the same thing and made a photo book with the funny quotes - genius. :-) I've read my own copy multiple times since Christmas. Tyler is a very funny boy!

Christmas, Part 1
Dan and I were thrilled that Tyler slept until 8 on Christmas this year, considering what happened last year. :-) When Tyler woke up he said, "I had a good sleep!" We had told him that Santa needed him to sleep well in order for him to come and bring his presents. ;-) Tyler loved all of his gifts - a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle book and mask, a remote control police motorcycle (which is the second loudest toy he's ever had!), a remote control fire truck, a big U.S. map puzzle, a mini air hockey table (that Dan won at his company's Christmas party!), and an aquarium truck. :-) He also noticed that Santa had eaten both of the cookies and drank all the milk. He also left him a little note...such a nice Santa. :-)
Dan and I always exchange cards, not gifts. But this year I gave Dan a picture frame collage with pictures of him and Tyler at the beach, four years in a row. It was my favorite gift to give this year. :-) My gift from Dan was a copy of my second favorite gift to give this year, a photo book I made for the grandparents with all of Tyler's funniest quotes. When I opened it I told Dan, "This must've taken you hours!" ;-)
Christmas Eve
We had a fun, relaxing Christmas Eve! Dan, Tyler, and I went to my parents' house for dinner and my brother Steven came over too. We had a great time! :-) Tyler left out cookies and milk for Santa. Once he was asleep, I finally moved all of the gifts from his old crib to underneath the tree (then realized Tyler would think that all of the presents were for him so I had to do some rearranging!) :-)
Dan always takes a picture of me holding Tyler on Christmas Eve, wearing the same scarf I wore on Christmas Eve in 2010, when I was six months pregnant with Tyler. I can't believe it's been four years since that photo was taken.
