Father's Day

 

I am so happy that Tyler has such a wonderful dad!  And I love that he is named after two other wonderful dads. :-) 

Cousins

This week Tyler got to see his grandparents, his Aunt Kristen, his Uncle Shane, and his cousins, Ben & Julia!  He loves seeing his family!  Dan went to two soccer games with his friend Marco and Tyler and I attended a party celebrating Ben's graduation from preschool.  :-)  Tyler loved playing with Ben's legos and eating cupcakes.  :-)  He also got to have a playdate with his friends, Noah and Baby Alex!  He has been helping my parents with yard work a lot lately and loves telling me all about it on the way home from work.  Only seven more days to go!!  :-)

First Trip to the Dentist

 

 

 

 

This week, Tyler had his first trip to the dentist!  I was very, very nervous.  We watched a video on you tube over and over again about a child having his first trip to the dentist.  The morning of the appointment, Tyler said, "I don't want to go to the dentist!  Let's just stay home!  We can go tomorrow," but thankfully, he was a little trooper.  He did a great job sitting in the chair and opening his mouth so his teeth could be cleaned.  He earned a token for the prize bin so that made him very happy.  :-)  Later that day, we watched Baby Lily.  At first Tyler did not want me to be holding Lily.  He asked me to put her on the floor and cuddle him.  He also said, "Mommy, it's not good to have a baby in my house.  I just want it empty with toys inside."  Oh boy :-)  He warmed up to her though!  He got to spend time with his cousins, Ben & Julia, and his Uncle Steven, which made him very happy.  :-)

He had a playdate with his friends Noah, Baby Alex, Zachary, and Baby Austin.  He also attended a going away party at a vineyard for his friend Colin and Colin's family.  We are going to miss them when they move!  We were happy to have my friend Nina go to the party with us.  :-)  I had my busiest photography weekend so far.  On Saturday I worked with my friends Karen and Stephanie at a photography event to raise money for the family of a former high school classmate of ours.  We were able to raise $530 in two hours and many people who couldn't attend also sent in donations.  Then on Sunday I did a family photo session.  We also took Tyler to the pool. 

Tyler doesn't tend to wake up from naps in a good mood.  I was cuddling with him one afternoon and I said, "It's hard to wake up, isn't it?" and he said, "Yeah, it's hard to be three."  :-)

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend :-)  It really felt like summer!  We went to the pool all three days.  It wasn't crowded at all the first two days but was very crowded on Memorial Day.  Tyler saw a little girl who had a mask so we bought one for him to wear.  :-)  We went to a bbq at my friend Christa's house.  Tyler loved playing with Dylan, Reed, and Baby Lily.  I also got to do Baby Lily's six month photo shoot!  :-)  Tyler got to see his Gaga, his Mummi, and his Pawpaw this week, which always makes him very happy.

Tyler continues to crack us up with the things that he says.  One of his new favorite phrases is, "I changed my mind."  He'll also say, "I just did it," if I ask something like, "Tyler, why did you dump your goldfish on the floor?"  :-)  He has been saying, "Mama, you're beautiful.  You look like one of the girls on Frozen."  He is a little charmer :-)  He'll reach both arms up and say, "Let's hug."  I love him so much.  :-)
