My 34th Birthday

This week I turned 34 :-)  I can't believe it's the 9th birthday I've celebrated with Dan and the 4th with Tyler!  We all met at my parents' house to eat cake, and my brother Steven was able to come too.  The woman who made our wedding cake made my birthday cake using the same flavors.  :-)  Earlier in the day we had a playdate with my friend Christa and her kids Dylan, Reed, and Baby Lily, and they brought cake.  :-)  Then at school my coworkers had a cake too! 

Two days later we had what I described as a "perfect day".  Dan and I enjoyed my birthday lunch at Sweetwater while Tyler spent time with my mom.  Then I took Tyler to his friend Emily's 2nd birthday party at a little gym.  He took a good nap afterwards and Dan and I were able to watch 24.  Then we all went to the park and then out to dinner.  Also this week, Tyler and I met up with my friend Shaina and her girls, Mia and Maisie.  I enjoyed a girls night in with my friend, Michelle, and we went to Noah's 2nd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  It was a busy week!

Busy Busy

This week was busy!  We had lunch at Dan's mom's house and took a walk to a nearby park.  Unfortunately, it started raining, and despite having one umbrella, we all got soaked.  The boys were troopers and didn't complain!  We went to a farm on Mother's Day and got frozen yogurt.  Tyler took a good nap both days (happy Mother's Day to me!) so Dan and I were able to watch the first two hour episode of 24.  I loved my Mother's Day cards and hearing, "Happy Mother's Day" from Tyler multiple times. :-)  I got to have Dan's coffee (the best!) and breakfast in bed while reading Us Weekly.  :-) 

Tyler had a playdate with his friends, Noah and Baby Alex.  He also went with me to my old school and saw a lot of my friends.  He was especially excited to see a "real policeman" who had a police car.  When we were leaving, I said, "Did you have fun?" and he said, "Yes.  Everyone really liked my gog!"  :-)  He was such a good boy!  That night he slept over 14 hours - a new record for him!  The next day he was running back and forth with his hand on his ear, yelling, "I'm texting and driving!"  He seriously cracks me up.  :-) 

Mother's Day

Dan and I feel so, so thankful for our wonderful moms, who are both wonderful grandmas too.  :-)  And I am so thankful for my boys, who made me a mom.  Hearing Tyler's precious toddler voice call me "Mama," is the sweetest sound I've ever heard. :-)

Celebrity Watching

This week Tyler and I went to a tulip farm, which is so gorgeous!!  I took a few photos of him that I absolutely love and we ran into my friend, Lauren, and her children, Cole & Ella.  Dan and Tyler spent ten hours bonding while I was traveling to DC with my friend, Nina, to watch the celebrities arrive at the White House Correspondents Dinner.  We met up with my friend, Katie, and had to stand on a corner to watch them arrive (we saw Katie Couric, Jessica Simpson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and many others).  However, after dinner we were able to enter the hotel (where we enjoyed very tasty $17 drinks and watched the speeches in very comfy chairs), and we got the best spots ever to watch as the celebrities left the event.  We saw three Scandal stars and all were so sweet!  Darby Stanchfield even came over to talk to us and she posed in a picture with us.  We saw Robin Wright Penn, Carson Daly, Joe Manganiello, Olivia Munn, Brad Paisely, and many more.  Sadly, I wanted to see Scott Foley the most, and it wasn't until I got home and went back through my pictures that I noticed he had walked by us (but we were too focused on Joe Manganiello).  Four years ago, Jon Seda (who I loved for many years after seeing him in the movie Selena) walked right by me and I didn't recognize him.  I'm still not over it!  :-) 

Tyler got to see all of his grandparents this week and he got to see Uncle Steven!  He always loves seeing his family and "Jenny" too.  :-)
