Fishing

For about three weeks, when we've said, "I love you, Tyler," he has said, "I love you too."  :-)  He is such a sweet boy.  It was really nice one day after work so we went on a walk and Tyler decided that he wanted to fish.  :-)  He loved all the time he got to spend with my parents and with Dan's mom this week, and he got to see his Uncle Steven!.  I had to attend a CPR training and Dan enjoyed a night out to celebrate a friend's birthday.  I went to a Bachelor finale party at my friend Christa's house with six other ladies - so fun!  Tyler had a playdate with Colin, Ella, Emma, and Baby Charlotte.  :-)  We are all still adjusting to the time change.

Two More Snow Days

I don't think I've worked a "normal" work week since mid December.  This week we had our 9th and 10th snow days!  Tyler loved helping us clear off the cars and he was a very good sport (once again!) to allow me to "practice" my photography on him.  He hadn't been in his crib in months but decided to climb in.  :-)

Parties & The Oscars

This week, in addition to celebrating Dan's birthday, Tyler attended two parties.  First, we went to a Valentine/Friendship party hosted by my friend Christa.  Tyler got to see eight of his friends and exchange valentines.  He also went to his friend Zachary's 3rd birthday party which had a fun construction theme (Tyler was willing to wear his construction hat long enough for me to take one picture).  One of the highlights of the party for Tyler was watching the pizza delivery guy arrive and then leave (Zachary & Noah watched with him).  Tyler did cry when he saw the table of gifts for Zachary, once I told him he couldn't open them. We keep reminding him that his birthday is less than three weeks away, and he'll have presents too!

Tyler went to sleep really early the night before the Oscars so I was hoping by the time they began, he'd be asleep.  Instead, full of energy, he watched the first hour with me.  I could not believe it when Jared Leto was giving his speech, Tyler picked up the golf trophy he found at my parents' house, stood in front of the tv, and said, "I'd like to thank..."  He is SO funny!!

Read Across America Day

Since our school celebrates Read Across America Day, my mom gave Tyler a Dr. Seuss shirt for Christmas.  He also has one from his cousin Ben and he loved wearing both of them this weekend.  To celebrate, we read books about trains & sports.  :-)

Dan's 36th Birthday

Dan was very lucky to have a Friday birthday this year, because it meant three days in a row of celebrating!!  Tyler and I put up signs for him to see when he got home from work on his birthday.  We also bought balloons & a cake!  Tyler loved singing happy birthday and helped blow out the candles.  He kept saying, "Again!" After five rounds of singing, Dan finally got to try the cake.  :-)  The next day we celebrated at his mom's house.  Tyler is always a great helper when it comes to opening gifts!!  Finally, the following day, my parents came over to bring more gifts for Dan and we got to go out to lunch at one of Dan's favorite restaurants.  Happy 36th Birthday, Dan!!  We love you and are so thankful for you.  :-)
