Bear Pajamas

When Tyler opened his bear pajamas on Christmas morning, he took one look at them and tossed them on the floor.  He seemed very unimpressed.  I loved these pajamas the second I saw them but they were too expensive (for pajamas).  But the day after Thanksgiving, they were 50% off and they became my one Black Friday purchase.  :-)  Tyler seemed pretty happy to wear them this week!

This week was busy!!  Tyler had a playdate with Zachary, Noah, and their baby brothers, then he saw them all again the next day, when we all visited our friends Carrie, Pat, Joey, & Joshua.  It had been a long time since we had all been together. Tyler and I went to the Superbowl party at his friends Reed & Dylan's house for the second year in a row.  Then we went back two days later for a playdate!  When I asked Tyler about Reed & Dylan's baby sister, Lily, he said, "She is very, very tiny.  She looks like a little doll."  :-)  He also had a playdate with his friends Colin, Baby Charlotte, Ella, and Emma.  I got to have a coffee date with my friend Julie, and my three day weekend turned into an unexpected four day weekend.

Our Funny Boy

Our five day weekend turned into a six day weekend which meant I only worked three hours last week (and that was okay with me!)  With so much time at home, I thought it was a good time to do some comparison photos (my favorite!)  Tyler was a good sport about it.  He enjoyed having a playdate with his friend, Grace, and he really liked her ice cream truck.  Thankfully my mom was able to find the same one on ebay and he loves it!  Tyler also went with me to Chrissy's house and loved playing with Brayden.  I got together with friends to watch the Bachelor Wedding special and had dinner with my friends, Barbara & Leigh.

Tyler has been very funny lately.  One day I said, "We're cleaning today, Tyler," and he said, "Why Mama?  Who's coming over?"  (He is on to me.)  Unfortunately he has chapped lips so we are constantly trying to get vasilene on them.  He has said, "That would be not a good idea mom," as well as, "Mama!  Helicopter guys don't need vasilene," and, "Maybe tomorrow.  I'm not sure.  I'm gonna think about it."  :-)  Since I love lip gloss and apply it ten times a day at least, I'll say, "Don't you like it, Tyler?" and he'll say, "Not so much!"  He just cracks us up.  :-)

More Snow

This week, a three day weekend turned into a five day weekend!  Thankfully, before the snow arrived, we had a beautiful day and were able to go to the park and play outside.  Tyler loved playing in the snow, too, and when he looked out the window he said, "It's snowing!  Maybe Santa is gonna come and bring me a present."  :-)

Tyler had a playdate with his friends Noah, Zachary, Baby Austin, & Baby Alex.  He went to his friend Mason's 3rd birthday, which had a plane theme.  He also attended his friend Dylan's 5th birthday party at a bounce house, and had a great time.  I went to a Tastefully Simple party at my friend Anne Marie's house while Dan took Tyler to get a "cool" haircut.  :-)  Dan and I got to have a lunch date at our favorite Japanese restaurant.  Tyler loved seeing all of his grandparents this week, and he got to see his Uncle Steven too!

There is a funny video of Dan on our honeymoon and Tyler loves to watch it.  When we watched the video this week, he asked, "Where's Ty Ty?" so I was explaining to him that he had not been born yet and when people get married they get to go on a honeymoon.  I said, "Who do you want to marry, Tyler?" and he said, "Brooklyn."  :-)  :-)  :-)

Birthday Party Season

This week Tyler attended three birthday parties in two days - two for his cousin Ben & one for his friend, Lucas.  Lucas had an awesome construction party where Tyler loved going on the zip line, and Ben's family party had a very cool Star Wars theme!  Tyler also enjoyed celebrating Ben's 5th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese.  Tyler loved being able to spend time with all of his grandparents this week.  Immediately after they leave or he leaves them, he always talks about how much he misses them and how he wants to see them again.  So sweet!  He had a playdate with his friends Colin, Ella, Emma, and Baby Charlotte.

Fireman Sam

This week we had snow and ice and I had a day off from work because it was so cold!  Tyler and I stayed inside all day in our pajamas.  His friends Dylan, Reed, & Baby Lily came over to play.  He also had a playdate with Noah, Zachary, Baby Alex, & Baby Austin.  My friend Vanessa came to visit and stayed overnight.  Tyler spent six hours with my parents while Vanessa and I went shopping (which was wonderful!)  The next day Tyler came with us to our favorite pizza place and to do a little bit more shopping.  Vanessa had a bag with owls on it and Tyler said, "I love your bag.  It's so cute!"  :-)

One day after school I was giving Tyler all of the food my parents had sent home with him.  I said, "Wow, Tyler, you have a lot of food to eat!" and he said, "I'm having a party!"  He is so funny.  :-)  I got my haircut this week and I always like to get a cute picture with Tyler whenever I get my hair done.  We set up the camera and the timer and after many tries, we got one that I love.  :-)

Tyler loves watching Fireman Sam and he loves for us to sing together in the car.  One day he asked me to sing the Fireman Sam song.  Even though we'd watched it many times, I didn't know the words so I just made something up.  Now I've sung our version so many times that Tyler sings it too!  We all love hearing him sing this song!  :-)

Happy New Year

Tyler slept through the ball drop this year - thank goodness!  :-)  He and Dan both got haircuts and didn't have the best results.  Tyler's hair was very uneven and had to be styled a certain way (which was impossible considering how much he likes to move!!)  I tried to fix it but now it's a bit too short.  Thankfully he has no idea and his hair grows quickly!!  :-)

We had a great time doing some after Christmas shopping.  Tyler and I took the Target gift card I got from Dan's mom and spent all but 41 cents in one trip.  :-)  I found snowflake pillows that are the perfect shade of teal.  I am so glad they had two of them left!  We also went to Home Depot on New Year's Eve and they were having a sale - 75% off their Christmas items!  We got a big wreath for our door for next year for $2.50 and a bear who reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas" for $4.50!  Tyler likes to say that he has figured out how to make the bear talk "all by myself."  :-)

This week I got to have a coffee date with my friend Julie and one with my friend Robbie.  Dan and I had a lunch date to our favorite Italian restaurant and a lunch date on New Years Day.  Tyler loved spending time with my parents and with Dan's mom and we really appreciated being able to go out!  Tyler loves it when Dan and I play cars with him in the kitchen.  We make his golf cart & mustangs go back and forth and sometimes they crash.
