Outdoor Fun

 

This week we had beautiful weather so we took trips to the park & the pier.  Tyler got to meet up with his friends Dylan & Reed at Chickfila & he had a playdate with Joey & Baby Joshua.  We also had a visit from my friend, Barbara.  We got to meet Baby Alex & I loved taking pictures of him!  Tyler was very happy to get to play with Alex's big brother, Noah.  I also took pictures of Tyler's friends, Sophia & Emily, this week.  :-)

 

Tyler's new favorite toy is a double decker bus, which he knows is from England.  When we say, "Who was born in England, Tyler?" he will say, "Dada."  :-)

Royal Baby

This week we were very excited about the royal baby's arrival!  We were very happy when he arrived on my brother Steven's 30th birthday.  :-)  We are also very happy about the birth of Baby Alex, who is Tyler's friend Noah's little brother. :-)  Tyler got to have a playdate with Noah this week and a playdate with Noah, Joey, Baby Joshua, Zachary, & Baby Austin.  He also attended his friend Grace's 3rd birthday party where he got to see many of his friends.  He had a playdate with his friend, Brayden, and he got to see many family members at my parents house.  He loved singing "happy birthday" to Uncle Steven & playing with his cousins.

This week I took Tyler to a playdate at a new splash park near our house.  He also got to have a playdate with Zachary, Joey, Noah, Baby Joshua, & Baby Austin.  I had dinner with my friends Barbara & Leigh, & I got to meet my friend Allison's adorable two week old son, Noah!  Dan & I enjoyed a lunch date at our favorite Italian restaurant & a quick trip to the mall.  Tyler got to see all of his grandparents, which always makes him very happy, & my friend Vanessa (or "Essa" as Tyler calls her) stayed with us for a night.  I really enjoyed shopping with Vanessa!!  I also had a coffee date with my friend Robbie & Tyler had a playdate with my friend Tara & her twin girls.



Dressing Up

This week was busy!!  Tyler got to spend a lot of time with my parents while Dan & I celebrated the wedding of Dan's friend, Sachin.  We went to the ceremony & the first reception on the 4th of July & then we went to a second reception two days later.  I also got to have dinner with my friends Julie & Katie.  Dan & I took Tyler to the pool & also to see his first movie!  He wanted to sit by himself at first but then sat with me.  With about twenty minutes to go until the end of the movie, he said, "go home" so we did.  Overall, he did a great job!

Tyler loves saying, "go this way" or "that way" or "over here" & "over there".  He wanted to put on his backpack & carry his lunchbox one night & he kept saying, "go school".  :-)  His speech has been cracking us up lately!

Happy 4th of July!

Tyler wasn't too crazy about the fireworks at first (we had a great view from his bedroom window) but once they were over he said, "more fireworks!"  He did a good job telling us what colors he saw.  :-)

Back Home

At the end of our trip, we said to Tyler, "We are almost home!" and he said, "No...go hotel."  After ten nights in four different hotel rooms, he was probably very used to it.  :-)  Once we were back he got to see his friends Noah, Zachary, Baby Austin, & Baby Joshua, & he had a playdate with his friend, Mia.  He also got to see his Uncle Steven, which made him very happy! 

Family Time at the Beach

 

It was great to be able to spend so much time together as a family on this vacation.  Dan & I were very spoiled and got to have a bunch of dinner & lunch dates!  We are so thankful to my parents for letting us stay with them.  We know this is a vacation that we will talk to Tyler about for years to come.  We all loved hearing him say his full name again & again on this trip.  It was amazing to see how much he has changed from last year's beach trip (& the one before that!).  Last year when we'd take him to the beach, he wanted to climb the stairs to go play in the parking lot.  :-)  This year he liked running around in the water & playing, which was so fun to watch.  He would say, "South Carolina" & "bye hotel".  :-)  He was such a sweet little beach boy!!
