Uncle Steven is Back!

This week Tyler had two playdates with Brooklyn & Baby Jason before we had to say goodbye to them.  We are missing them a lot!  Thankfully, my brother Steven returned to the area after living in Texas for the last few months.  We are very happy to have him back & we had a great visit with him!  I went to a surprise baby shower for my friend, Michelle, who is expecting a baby boy in July.  We all wore pajamas, which was great!  Tyler also got to have a playdate with his friends, Joey, Noah, Zachary, Baby Austin, & Baby Joshua.  We went to storytime at the library & sang songs, which Tyler seemed to enjoy.  Tyler also had a playdate with his friend, Colin!

Missing Our Friends Already

When Shanna and I met, her daughter Brooklyn had just turned one, & Tyler was five months old.  Since then, we have all spent many hours together.  One week, Shanna and I saw each other eight different times!  Tyler played with Brooklyn at Shanna's shower for Baby Jason, then we all watched him grow from a tiny newborn to a 14 month old little man!  We have loved spending so much time with the whole family.  They have a great opportunity outside of the US and we are very excited for them, but we are going to miss them very, very much!  Brooklyn gave Tyler goodbye hugs & said, "I love you, Tyler".  :-)  We know we'll all be friends forever!

                                           

                                            

                                         



Busiest Week Ever?

This week Tyler got to spend time with all of his grandparents, which always makes him SO happy!  Dan & I enjoyed a lunch date at his favorite restaurant.  I also went out to dinner with my friends, Shanna & Christa.  I hosted two small parties at my house & did a very short family photo shoot in the middle of a downpour. 

Tyler & I got up very early one day to meet many of his friends at his favorite indoor playground.  We were all celebrating our friendship with Shanna, Brooklyn, & Baby Jason, who are moving soon.  :-(  We had a great time!  Tyler also enjoyed going to Joey's 2nd birthday party, which was a water party.  He loved the cupcakes!  He had a playdate with Noah, a playdate with Brooklyn & Baby Jason, & a playdate at Avery's house, where he got to see many of his friends.  We also went to a new kids place near our neighborhood, where Tyler got to play games, go on rides, & dress up like a mailman.  :-)

New Lens :-)

I really wanted a new camera lens for my 33rd birthday.  Thanks to my parents, the canon 50mm 1.4 lens has arrived!  I am very slowly learning how the lens works but I can already tell that it's going to really improve my photos.  Tyler must not be very impressed so far, because on our first walk with the new lens, he refused to smile for any of the pictures.  I still snapped away, though, & have become a bit obsessed with blurry backgrounds.
