Fun Events

This week we celebrated Baby Jason's 1st birthday at Chuck E. Cheese!  Tyler had a wonderful time & loved seeing so many of his friends at once.  I traveled three and a half hours to a gorgeous river house for the Bachelorette party of my good friend, Vanessa!  I also enjoyed a quick lunch with a good friend.  :-)  We've been doing a lot of prep work for the soon-to-be two year old's birthday party!

I love for Tyler to wear, "Kiss Me I'm Irish" shirts because they make me think of my sweet Grannie, who is watching over us from heaven.  :-) 

Even though Tyler was born right after St. Patrick's Day in 2011, we still had him wear an Irish shirt when he was very small.  It's amazing how much he has grown in (almost) 2 years!!

Mommy?

This week was busy!!  Tyler went to three different parties - a sprinkle for my friends Jen & Carrie (who are both expecting baby boys this spring), a gymnastics 4th birthday party for Tyler's favorite twin friends, & a party we hosted to celebrate Dan & Tyler's birthdays with our friends, Lomy, Marco, & Sachin.  Tyler repeated their names again & again & loves the gifts they brought him.  Tyler loved playing on the slides at the gymnastics party & even did the zip line (holding on with only one hand!)  I attended a Bachelor finale party at my friend Shanna's house - so fun!  One day Tyler & I ate lunch at Moes then went to the park.  It was perfect park weather & we had the park all to ourselves.  He loved watching the airplanes.  :-)

Tyler started calling me "Mommy" this week!  Every now & then he will still say, "Mama".  Thank goodness!  :-)

Celebrating

This week Tyler went to two birthday parties!  One was a party for his friend Zachary, who turned 2.  The other party was at Dan's mom's house to celebrate Dan's birthday.  We had a great time & were happy to have my parents there, too.  :-)

Tyler had a playdate with his friend Mason & a playdate with Brooklyn & Baby Jason.  He also took a trip with me to my old school.  He enjoyed seeing many of my friends & playing with blocks in my friend Barbara's room.  He even got to play the piano.  :-) 

We had a lot of snow but Tyler did not enjoy being outside at all!  It was a bit too windy for him. 

Happy 35th Birthday, Dan!

To celebrate Dan's 35th birthday, Tyler & I made signs & bought balloons!  I set my alarm to get up before Dan, and I put up the signs & put the balloons in the bathroom as a surprise.  I also made him coffee, which I never manage to do before he leaves for work.  We had a late dinner (shrimp fettuccine, garlic knots, & ceasar salad, followed by Dan's favorite ice cream & vanilla cupcakes!)  Tyler wore his "I Love Dad" t-shirt.  He had not had the best day in terms of his mood & behavior, but during dinner, he was so, so sweet!!  He reached his arms out to give Dan a hug (which he has rarely ever done in the past - he usually gives kisses instead!) & when the hug was over, he said, "more hugs!" and gave Dan more.  So so cute!!  Dan probably got 10 hugs total.  Then when it was time to sing happy birthday, Tyler was able to sing "you" twice & "dada" at the right places during the song.  He loves his Dada!!

We realized that Dan is now 10 years older than I was when we met.  So crazy!!  :-)
