Christmas #2

Tyler got to see his Uncle Shane, Aunt Kristen, Cousin Ben, & Cousin Julia, on Christmas this year!  He loved playing in the basement on the trampoline & listening to Uncle Steven sing using Ben's microphone.  :-)  We had homemade peppermint ice cream - yum!

Tyler had the best time opening gifts on Christmas morning.  :-)  He loved all of his presents, especially his bicycle & basketball hoop.  His Gaga & Papa made a delicious breakfast for us.  Tyler had a lot of fun playing with the Thomas the Train whistle too.  :-)

Christmas Eve Night

We spent Christmas Eve night at my parents house.  We watched While You Were Sleeping & had chinese food like last year.  :-)  We loved spending time with my mom, dad, & brother, Steven.  And Jenna the cat too.  :-)

Christmas Eve (Tyler is 21 Months Old!)

 Christmas Eve 2010 - I was 26 weeks pregnant with Tyler

I can't believe Tyler is 21 months old!  How is it possible that he will be turning 2 in only three months?  Dan took a picture of me on Christmas Eve in 2010, when I was pregnant with Tyler & wearing a scarf my friend Chrissy gave me.  We decided to recreate the picture last year & now it's become a tradition.  :-)  It's so fun to see how much Tyler has grown. 

I've taken pictures of Tyler in his nursery glider since he was two weeks old.  I took them monthly until he turned one; then I started taking them every three months.  It is amazing to see how much Tyler changes even in three months time.

We were so excited to see beautiful snow this Christmas Eve!  Tyler wouldn't wear his snowpants but he did wear his new boots & coat, & for the first time ever, he kept his hat on for more than .5 seconds.  :-)  He loved playing on the deck & walking around the neighborhood with Dan.  He kept saying, "snow!" 

Christmas Prep & Decorations :-)

This week Tyler & I hosted a pajama party for some of his neighborhood friends.  :-)  I had dinner with my friend, Robbie, & Dan's friend, Lomy, came over to watch the Redskins game with us.  She also was very kind to take family pictures for us in front of our Christmas tree.  We were very excited that the Redskins won & the Ravens won too (for Dan!)  Dan's 12 day vacation has begun - yay!!  :-)

We have loved all of the Christmas cards that have come in the mail.  We have them displayed on our kitchen cabinets.  I will miss having out all of the Christmas decorations. 

A Special Trip

This week, Tyler had two playdates with Brooklyn & Baby Jason.  He spent time at his Gaga & Papa's house so that I could spend four hours shopping all by myself.  It was wonderful!  I have gone shopping with friends a few times, but I haven't spent such a long time shopping (at multiple stores!!) by myself since before Tyler was born.  He also got to take a special trip to his Mummi's work Christmas party.  He was a very good boy (I was nervous!) & loved dancing to all of the songs.  He also loved running up & down the hallway.  :-)

Tyler's new favorite thing to say is, "big truck".  He is also starting to say some of his friend's names.  He calls Baby Jason "baby" whenever he sees him or his picture.  He calls Joey "jo jo" and Noah "no no".  He still says, "no no no" (complete with finger pointing) to any cat he sees...especially Jenna.  He gets very sad when we see ice cream cones in any picture book because he then immediately wants one.  :-)

Family Christmas Party

My parents host a family Christmas party every year & do an amazing job!  They always have yummy food & punch, & the house is always decorated beautifully for Christmas.  Growing up, the day of the Christmas party was always my favorite day of the year.  Tyler loved seeing all of his relatives & loved playing with his cousins & his friend, Brayden.  :-)
