Week 31

This week Tyler got to see snow for the first time! Certainly not what we were expecting for October! He seemed a little perplexed as we put him in his snowsuit :-) Another very exciting thing happened this week - we discovered that Tyler has a fourth tooth! All four teeth are on the bottom. I'm wondering when he'll get the top ones...

We went to another "Mommy & Baby" movie this week. This time we saw Footloose. Tyler was such a good boy! We met baby Eli and his mom and discovered that Eli is only 6 days younger than Tyler and we live in the same neighborhood! We are looking forward to having a playdate in the future. :-)

Tyler got to see so many people this week! We had dinner with Julie, dinner with Uncle Steven & his girlfriend Kristin, playdates with baby Brooklyn & baby Colin, and a coffee date with Robbie! Plus he got to spend time with both of his grandmas, Grandpa, Uncle Shane, Aunt Kristen, & his cousin Ben!

Week 30 - Tyler is 7 Months Old!

What a busy week! I will always be so thankful to my sister-in-law, Kristen, for telling me about my neighborhood mom's group. Tyler and I have attended eight events so far (including three this week!) and it's been so fun getting to know so many moms & babies :-) We went to two Halloween events - one for 20 moms & babies and one for 47! Tyler did a great job wearing his puppy dog costume but we did take it off a few times when he got too hot. We also attended a playdate at Baby Grace's house & we got to see Chrissy & Brayden!

Dan and I said this week that we have a new appreciation for our neighborhood. We love to go on walks and we love all of the different routes we can take. The trees and the "lake" (as we like to call it) near our house are so pretty, especially in the fall. Now that the weather is cooler, Tyler is able to wear his animal hats!

We've discovered that Tyler likes to sit on a bench near the main road and watch the cars drive by. We also took him to a pumpkin patch which he did not seem to enjoy too much. Maybe next year! Tyler smiles all the time but sometimes he does not want to smile for the camera. I finally discovered that fake sneezes will do the trick. :-)

We can't believe Tyler is 7 months old! This week he ate an entire container of pears and bananas for the first time - yay! Dan and I enjoyed a date to our favorite Italian restaurant.

Week 29

This week my parents purchased a new hat for Tyler, which is adorable! He also wore his "Batty for Mommy" Halloween outfit for the first time. I bought the shirt for him back in November during a trip to South Carolina, right after we found out we were having a boy. :-)

Tyler loved touching the pumpkin. We got to visit Chrissy and Brayden this week and we had a coffee date with Leigh & Barbara. Tyler loved giving out kisses!

Week 28

This week Tyler and I had dinner with my friend Shaina (we loved seeing her baby bump!) We also got to spend a lot of time with my parents! We attended our monthly neighborhood playdate at Ryanne and Baby Avery's house. There are a bunch of us who always go but every month there is someone new for us to meet, which is so fun! We'll be attending a few more events this month and we are looking forward to them

We've discovered that Tyler likes to be outside on the deck. Also, he is always such a good boy on walks. He rarely makes a sound but at the end, he always lets us know when it's time to go home. :-) His third tooth is coming in on the bottom which is very exciting!

Week 27

This week we met Lauren & Cole for lunch. We also celebrated Dan's mom's birthday & we met Judy for lunch one day, too. I was very impressed with Tyler's behavior during these three outings although he did have one small shrieking fit. He seems to have discovered his voice and he is very loud! Luckily he is shrieking with excitement. :-) I love to see Tyler react to seeing Dan in the morning & when he gets home from work. Big smiles, cute little noises, & of course, shrieking. :-)

We are still working on adding fruits & veggies to Tyler's diet. We try every day but he still only likes pears. He has also been doing a great job holding his bottle like a big boy! Not for the whole time of course, but he's getting much more consistent & doing a great job. :-)
